Pizzamaru, despite being an international chain, actually serves up pretty good fried chicken and pizza!

Among the many flavours of fried chicken we tried, the Truffle Parmesan spoke to me the best. As it was a dry seasoning, the skin stayed extremely crispy, with really juicy and succulent meat within. Love how their original marinade penetrated the meat deeply, and you almost don't need the sauce! The truffle cream sauce was also delightful, with strong garlicky flavours and it had the right amount of truffle within.

Their Smoky BBQ pizza was also a hit for us. The ingredients and cheese were quite generous, and I actually loved their crust, as it was wonderfully chewy.

With the many outlets in Singapore, I am definitely coming back again!

A grumbling stomach beckoned us to get Pizzamaru’s 𝗝𝗮𝗴𝗶𝘆𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗼 ($𝟮𝟳.𝟴𝟬). This included a 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝟵” 𝗣𝗶𝘇𝘇𝗮 🍕from various flavours, and we selected their popular 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗲𝘀𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘂 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗮 🧀😍. This was made from Maru spiced chicken, chicken ham, lots of vegetables, BBQ sauce, and mozzarella cheese - and was spicy, tantalising, and delicious! Just look at that cheese pulllll 😩👍🏻

The combo is not complete without an appetising 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝘄𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗺, of which we had their 𝟲𝗽𝗰𝘀 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹. 🍗 Crispy and juicy, and pairing well with the sweet creamy sauce, this surely satisfied our korean fried chicken cravings.

We almost expected the food to be gimmicky - but in the end we were honestly quite impressed. The pizza was solid and flavourful, and it would be hard to say no to their korean fried chicken! This combo is enough to feed the hungry mouths of 2 pax and is available on weekdays during lunch only.

You’d get to choose two sides per order, and we tried their 𝗡𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗼 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗣𝗼𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗼 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘀, 𝗢𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀, 𝗠𝗮𝗰 & 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗲𝘀𝗲, 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗶, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗽. The sides were mostly okay but perhaps they could have been a bit more generous with their portions. Each order also entitles you to a drink as well!

Pizzamaru’s newest item on their lunch menu is the 𝗞𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗻-𝗕𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 ($𝟭𝟮.𝟵𝟬++). 🍗♨️ There were so many flavours for us to choose from - we selected their 🧄 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗚𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗷𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗴, 🍯 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗚𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗷𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗴, and 🍄 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺! Other variations include their 𝗦𝗼𝘆 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗰, 𝗕𝘂𝗹𝗱𝗮𝗸, and 𝗢𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝗿 𝗧𝗮𝗿.

Our food took some time to come, and that’s how we knew that the chicken was truly baked fresh and piping hot from the oven. 🤤 The chicken was so juicy, succulent and delicious! We must say that their sauces were an innovative twist that were R&Ded with effort, and paired well with the chicken.

Went to Pizzamaru last week and ordered a Daeyang Pasta and a Rose Shrimp Pasta (About ~$36/2 pax)😇 Overall ratings 7/10! Both pastas were good but might get a little gelat after awhile😅

I tried the non-spicy Halla Cheesy Volcano Pizza ($36.80), which features a crispy Nacho Chip Dome 🌟 served with overflowing Nacho Cheese sauce 🤩 & parsley flakes sprinkles atop the pizza. Liked the stretchiness of their patented Green Tea well-being pizza dough 🍕, topped with their signature Korean boneless fried chicken 🐔, bell peppers, mushrooms & onions.

2.5⭐ Saw that Hongdae Oppa is on MeRewards app. WB always wanted to try as we always saw long queue whenever we walked pass. We ordered the 1 for 1 Pork Kimchi Jjiggae, original price is $14.90. After drinking a spoon of soup, both of us wondered why is this being charged at restaurant price when the food is subpar of foodcourt standard? Definitely would return anymore.

The drumstick rice box comes with 2 drumsticks, kimchi coleslaw and a portion of white rice drizzled with soy garlic sauce. The drumstick has a choice of soy garlic or hot sauce and we chose to have it hot.

The drumstick has a nice, thin and crispy exterior coated with their signature hot sauce. The meat underneath the skin was tasty and succulent with some kimchi to add a refreshing crunch to the meal 》$9.95 ($8.45/ala-carte)

Korean fried chicken covered by a layer of sauce. Choose to have it with their signature flavours in Soy Garlic or Hot. It is also possible to have a mix of both flavours. Their fried chicken skin is thinner, crunchy and less greasy as compared to most other fried chicken fast-food restaurants.

We went for their soy garlic chicken which was savoury yet salty at the same time. The texture of wingettes was drier as compared to the drumettes 》$15.45 / ala-carte
