They really are good. It's soft yet hadmore bite than normal, it's very voluminous
But honestly, how good can it be? Not worth queueing so long lol. The queue is now reasonable with the opening of their second outlet. It's about 10 ppl long on a weekday night and took about 10-15mins
There's shredded mochi inside, but overall it was meh. Not much body
Super tender, you can see it's cooked well. But marinade was really weak, not much crisp either
It's pretty much what u expect. The problem is, you better let the potato sit for a while to get the crispy base. No one warned us and we were halfway done because we tasted the first crisp from the rosti gdi. For what you're getting the price is really ex
And the reason offered for not telling us to wait: they said some ppl wait too long until the rosti is burned.
Not sure why they continue to insist on serving it on a heated pan if there's so many problems
Apart from the price this is awesome
It's got the bounce of seseri but more tender than any I had before. Rlly rlly good
The taste is meh but the size is insane. It's literally just the size of 2 fingers. It's some petit four size omg
Pretty good. The salmon skin was shatteringly crisp but have it quick cos there's a layer of ponzu daikon oroshi which added acidity but might make it less crispy.
30mins waiting time, call ahead for them to prepare
This is something else. The unagi was tender and had this strong hearty crispiness. Moreover, there's crunchy bits which has the same texture so overall each bite of rice has that lovely texture. Flavours were great too, with the generous amt of unagi sauce. Last but not least, there's burdock and pickles which provide another type of crunch. This is an excellent arrangement of Japanese cuisine, suited to the singaporean's preference of strong flavours.
The only complaint is that the crunchy bits are too generous, so everything tastes a little greasy after a while. Ask for less for it
Must try
Not very crispy or charred but the flavour was ok
Asked for extra crispy and extra crunchy it was
Turned out to be the best yaki onigiri I've had. Exterior was properly crunchy, unlike damn near everywhere else
If you're here and you like yaki onigiri, this is a no brainer
Everything here is tiny. Palm sized pork chop
Reasonably tender but quite lean, so it's a little bit dry but not from cooking technique. There's some flavour from the miso marinated which is also then made into the sauce.
Passable in taste, overpriced for the portion
Tasty but lacking that oomph of authenticity.
