So creamy and good, with balanced and refreshing salad
đđđ§đđ§đ đđĢđđ§đ đ đ đ¨đŦđđđĢ (3âī¸; $14.90) - One for the sweet tooth with caramelized banana, mandarin orange, and coconut gelato. Had an oaky depth from the bourbon sabayon but personally found this too sweet for my palette.
đđĢđđĻđ đđĢđŽĖđĨđĖđ (3.5âī¸; $9.90) - Classic and creamy with a crisp caramelised top.
- đđĢđđ đđ§ đđĢđđ (4.5âī¸; $24.90) - Vongole-like white wine base with aromatic garlic, parsley, and creamy butter finish, paired with springy Malfade. Love the generous amounts of fresh crabmeat and crispy fried soft shell crab.
- đ đĢđŽđđđĸ đđĸ đđđĢđ (4âī¸; $22.90) - Flavourful tangy and herbaceous tomato sauce with assorted fresh seafood. The Gemelli nicely soaked up the sauce and had an enjoyable enjoyable chew similar to tteokboki.
đđĢđđđĻđđđ đđĢđ¨đĸđŦđŦđđ§đ đ đĨđ¨đĢđđ§đđĸđ§đ (3.5âī¸; $22.90) - Unique take on egg florentine with the oozy egg paired with flaky and airy croissant. Did find it more spinach-focused and would have appreciated more crabmeat.
The tater tots was served hot and crispy. I would prefer savoury over sweet. I dont find it well suited with honey.
Opted for malfade pasta. It absorbs the sauce well. It wasnt too jelat. The spicniess was just nice. There was quite a few prawns.
Opted for handmade mafalde pasta. The pasta was well cooked, not too soft nor chewy. They were very generous with the crab meat. The soft shelled crab was abit oily. I find it abit bland. The pasta may not be well suited to absorb the butter sauce.
Strong brew coffee with vanilla gelato & crunchy crumbles; not bitter or acidic..
Fresh squid rings are lightly battered then deep-fried to crispy; batter akin to the flaky fried chicken style; came with a lemon wedge & mayo at the side..
Meat is braised with milk till tender; sauce is flavorful with tinge of zesty & no milky taste; mashed potatoes is very smooth; mushrooms are crunchy with mild smoky taste..
2 different types of crab pasta in butter cream sauce; sauce is light with tinge of white wine & rich with crab taste; opted for housemade Gemelli Twins pasta which came slightly undercooked; came with chunks of fresh crab meat; soft shell crab is deep-fry to crispy outside while soft inside, slightly salty..
Had a fantastic meal at Clovelly recently and we loved the vibes, the food and the service. From appetisers to pastas to all day brunches to desserts, we tried a huge variety and here are my favourites:
Calamari Rings ($11.90) - this was a very addictive sharing appetiser, due to its irresistible crunch and that the squid ring within is pretty tender. This is one dish you have to pair with their lemon mayo!
Spicy Garlic Prawn Pink Sauce ($21.90) - flavours in this is an intensive one; garlicky, creamy with a hint of spice. The al dente malfade pasta type is perfect for this one, as its uneven sides cling to the thick sauce well. Loved the bouncy meaty prawns as well!
Carbonara ($18.90) - the cream sauce for this one is much thicker than the former, and hence the Gemelli pasta type is perfect for this one. Very chewy, the pasta caught alot of the thick sauce within and I loved the rich meaty flavour with the great texture of the pasta.
Molten Lava Cake ($11.90) - this is a dessert that is hard to go wrong. Soft chocolate cake with an incredibly rich melty centre, this was perfect with the refreshing coconut gelato.
