4⭐ The calamari goes well with the mayonnaise and is so addictive. Each of us ordered a set and we had the salmon, beef and seafood. The beef I had is slightly over done today.

4.25⭐ Found out this new teppanyaki outlet when we went shopping at Millennia walk. The executive set lunch is value for money and includes house salad, chawanmushi, miso soup and garlic rice. Furthermore the set lunch is available on weekend too. We ordered beef and seafood for sharing. The beef is executed well even though it's not wagyu beef. WB comment that I have atas tongue as I seldom praise non wagyu beef. Seafood portion is also generous as the prawn and scallop are huge!
Well, I guess I found my favourite mid range teppanyaki restaurant.

In collaboration with JFOODO (The Japan Food Product Overseas Promotion Center) to promote the Niigata-Koshihikari rice, Tomi Sushi is running a promotion for their Ebi Tempura Roll ($15, U.P. $18) that is made using this rice from the Niigata prefecture. Tasting the Koshihikari rice, I noticed that it has characteristics of having a tinge of sweetness with a fluffy texture even when cold, and all these traits complement well with the tempura prawn and brininess of the tobiko. Want to try the Koshihikari rice? Head down to Tomi Sushi and enjoy the Ebi Tempura Roll at a promotional rate from now to 10 February 2024. To find out more about the Life in Every Grain, Joy in Every Bite campaign on Japanese rice, visit https://japan-food.jetro.go.jp/rice/sg/.

There is also the maguro promotion whereby selected tuna items are going at 50% off such as the Maguro Zanmai set ($32.50, U.P. $65), which is also made using 100% Niigata-Koshihikari rice.

This was indeed different from the taste of other ramen stalls. The chicken stock was a rich orange and had a strong taste, quite clearly of tomatoes. Came with a small dish of groundnuts. Didn’t quite know what to do with the lemon. These were sea prawns and though were slightly overcooked, had great umami roe (yums)! There was relatively less broth than other ramens. Interesting try indeed! Wine costs the same as canned beer, Pity they don’t have draught.

I tried their Gyutan Yaki Omakase Course ($65++), which is a 9-course meal comprising:
.
🥕 Daikon Miso
🫛 Edamame
🥗 Salad
🍄 Satsuma age (fish cake)
🦪 Today's Recommended (we had fried oysters)
🍢 Oden Moriawase
🥩 Wagyu Mountain Roast BEEF
🐄 Gyutan Yaki
🍚 Rice and Tororo
.
That mountain of roast beef was certainly the highlight for us! 😍 Doused with an addictive sweet-savoury sauce with a slight peppery kick, the slices were tender & not gamey at all! 💗 The chunky gyutan was brilliant as well; loved the chew! 🤤
.
The oden was another hit for me 🍲! With rather flavourful yet clear-tasting broth & springy oden 🍥, this is the perfect comfort food for rainy days!
