I came for this because I like oxtail but never had them fried. It's really interesting. It had the meatiness and fattiness, yet also a batter reminiscent of Malay fried food. I also appreciate the soup because it's beef soup, not just generic soup.

Aka corn fritters. Tbh they're no different from hawker fritters, but that's not to say they're bad. They're fine.

We were misled by "frosty" haha. It's just bandung. Well, nice lychee though.

From Saizeriya
The BBQ sauce pork ribs were tender and flavorful, perfectly complemented by the sides of corn, spinach, and potato wedges.
The seasonal promotion offered a delicious and satisfying meal.

I guess it's extremely difficult to be mindblown by a same thing. This felt really premium the first time, and although still good, this time I ate it up casually.

Biang Biang Noodle ($7.40)
⭐️ 4/5 ⭐️
🍴Hidden gem for chewy, thick, hand-pulled noodles from Xi’an. Choose from among 5 ingredient combinations and our 3-in-1 featured tangy tomatoes, creamy scrambled egg, marinated pork cubes, and fresh greens.

The noodles one of the better textures around - silky with enjoyable chew and bite. Choose your own spicy level by adding in the addictive crisp fried chili bits and chili oil. Tossing everything together in the savory sauce was highly satisfying and slurp-worthy.

📍Biang Biang Noodle, 01-518, 190 Lor 6 Toa Payoh, Singapore

This little stall in Toa Payoh Palm Spring Market is run by an eldery Cantonese couple and specialises in classic fried rice and hor fun. The old school taste is evident in the expertly fried grains - not at all oily, even slightly dry, and barely seasoned. The wok hei wafts from the plate, and the rice itself is laced with plenty of fluffy egg and bits of spring onion.

Whilst the rice was good, the chicken was even better. Each golden nugget is encased in paper-thin crispy batter, and the tender meat was fragrant with the taste of Shaoxing wine.

Satisfying seafood horfun with fresh ingredients, decent wok hei.
Generous portions at a local coffeeshop price point.
Good flavor balance, not bad for a quick meal.

[B3] Prawn & Char Siew ($5.80 nett)
There are a total of 3 prawns & a lot more char siew hidden under the skin. Prawns had a great crunch to them, & charsiew was delicious. Would order this again!

Hope to try the special skins next time as that is something really unique.

In general, the cheung fun I had were alright. Would've liked a little bit more sauce, although these weren't dry by any means. Silky smooth skin was the best part.

The chilli is somewhat lacking - pales in comparison to my personal favourite cheung fun. Perhaps good for those who don't enjoy spicy food.

[A2] Egg & Veggie ($4.90 nett)
The veggie is a little odd to me from the contrasting texture perspective. Not sure how I feel about it. Personal preference, I reckon. Loved the egg though.
