Quite nice and the ingredients are fresh.. worth it come once

The broth is quite decent actl. But way too sweet

Beef was abit dry and tough but the fats were melt in your mouth. Tendon was great as well

The red curry sauce was alright but very sweet.

But it was room temperature wtf

Egg was very crispy, the sauce was alright but could have done w more aromatics. The beef was slightly chewy

Passable

Another popular stall at Bukit Timah Market and Food Centre — The white beehoon [a.k.a. rice vermicelli] dish is served in a flavourful and tasty, soupier broth that comes with a nice variety of ingredients including crayfish, clams, Chinese cabbage and bits of fried egg. 🫶🏻

We made our way to our much beloved Bukit Timah Market and Food Centre, in view that it is set to demolish in the second half of 2024. Thanks for the wonderful memories for the past 30 years! 🫶🏻

We ordered some satay from this popular stall ‘cause my mum is enamoured with its peanut sauce that comes with a huge dollop of pineapple 🍍 puree. The skewered meat has a nicely charred piece of fat in the middle and extra chew on the meat.

Sizzling steak on a hot plate at a hawker centre! Price is friendly on a budget and portion is sizable too.

Love the medium-rare steak with a robust beefy flavour, strip of fat and a prominent chew that requires a bit more bite. The truffle fries on the side is super crispy and unexplainably addictive! 🫶🏻

I am probably not the only one confused but there is actually not one but two Korean restaurants by the name of "Myung Ga" in the Bukit Timah area. I usually frequent Myung Ga II at Bukit Timah Plaza but it was closed the night I visited so I decided to check out Myung Ga III at Beauty World instead.

According to the wait staff, Myung Ga II and III are separate restaurants whose owners are friends. They aren't related but have similar (if not the same) menu.

The good is rather similar. The tonkatsu is huuuuuuge as with all Korean style tonkatsus with a nice sweet sauce. I ordered a takeaway which was probably why the pork cutlet came in pieces instead of one huge slab. The meat was well marinated and the crust shattering crisp. I do prefer Myung Ga II's version because it was a little more tender and juicy but it might just be because I had their tonkatsu fresh instead of sitting in a box for the 45 minutes drive home.

I do want to know though... Is there a Myung Ga I?!?

The fried kway teow at the hawker center boasts a distinctive sweet black sauce flavor.
The noodles are consistently cooked to perfection, making it a delicious and satisfying dish.
Overall, this is a drier type yet addictive version.
Highly recommended!
