So stumbled across this gem at tanjong Pagar when I wanted a little sweet intake.
Their cake selections were very special and made me want to try all of them!! Of course having said that each slice is about ($~9) so choose wisely.
I got the konichiwa hojicha which seemed like one of their flagship flavour and loved it to the last mouth.
It's slightly heavier in texture than a normal Japanese cake if you know what I am saying but oh so satisfying.
Coffee was good and not too sweet thus adding to the overall balance of the meal. Great find!

Japanese black sesame sponge jaconde filled with black sesame creme diplomat and topped with black & white sesame almond streusel.

💸 Konichiwa hōjicha (Whole cake, 16cm): $65 with free delivery

Ordered a houjicha flavoured cake from Nesuto for our birthday to pamper ourselves!!🎂 The Konichiwa hōjicha is their seasonal special, and we got it as we're such big fans of japanese flavoured desserts!😍

The cake really boasted an intense roasted houjicha flavour with the different layers of hōjicha ganache, hōjicha chantilly and hōjicha soufflé chiffon sponge.🍵 We loved that it was not too sweet, however it was a tad too creamy for us. Hence, we thought it tasted much better after scraping off the cream piped on top as it was for deco purposes and just tasted like plain whipping cream. But overall, we still enjoyed it very much!! 🤗

First bite in of Nesuto’s seasonal Konichiwa Hojicha and I regretted not getting 2 slices of it omg. Layers of fluffy hojicha soufflé chiffon sponge with hojicha ganache and chantilly - really loved the intense roasted tea flavour here! I did find it a tiny bit sweet at the end but it wasn’t the cloying sort. Would have definitely been very easy to go for another right away.

This used to be available only as a whole, but you can now get them in slices (bundle of 4 or 8) via their online preorders for delivery or self-collection.

Boasting a rich roasted tea flavour, Nesuto’s Konichiwa Hōjicha ($65/16cm) is the ultimate treat for nutty tea lovers! Perhaps a little of an overdose with the Hōjicha Ganache, Hōjicha Chantilly, Hōjicha Soufflé Chiffon and loose Hōjicha Tea Specks for embellishment; the different textures and taste still came together wonderfully - just look at the beautiful and distinct cross-section of the cake. The combination of the smooth, chilled, almost airy chantilly cream and the moist, fluffy sponge balanced by the intensity of the earthy ganache. I also enjoyed the fact that I found no one element outshining another. It wasn’t too sweet and in all, left a well-rounded toasty flavour.

Thus, while Nesuto Patisserie remains closed for dine-in and walk-in, order online (www.nesuto.oddle.me) and do take advantage of their free delivery service with any purchase of their whole cake!

Truly Konichiwa Hojicha now that @dear.nesuto is selling it in slices! I had to think long and hard about getting it previously because they only sold the whole cakes. I got this together with the Yuzu Raspberry cake and both were really yummy. The Yuzu Raspberry was sweet with both the Yuzu Raspberry flavours providing a nice balance. I really liked the Konichiwa Hojicha with the robust nutty flavours in the cream and the sponge. They only accept online orders now so do remember to order online before heading down! 🤗
