Came across New Ubin on Grab and noted they have Lamb on their menu. Decided to give it a try as it’s rare to be able to find Lamb on the menu of Grab’s list of merchants.

They did a fabulous job in having it done just right - medium, where it’s browned on the outside and pink inside. The sea salt flakes were packed separately in a container, so you can sprinkle the amount that you’d prefer. 👍👍👍

🍴The #satay at this outlet was executed really well (better than the last we had from chijmes) with a delicious char and tender meat paired with a flavour and thick satay sauce. Loved the balance of peanuts with what I think was pineapple that gave a slight sourness and nice tang. The #fishheadcurry was quite light in flavour and lacking fish aroma. Although there was quite a lot of vegetables, there was only a small portion of fish which couldn’t quite justify the price paid. We did enjoy the #meegoreng that was nicely fried to have good texture and wokhei.

toasty baguette w quality butter and super super good kaya. kaya is on the sweeter side but i like it for its slightly eggy taste w a hit of pandan! great way to end off the meal

pork jowl is super melt in the mouth yumz super super fatty and crispy but nice! def a must have here. baby squid is also rly crispy despite the sauce which isnt overly sweet. it's my moms fav

Keep this Balestier restaurant in mind for dad's next birthday. Order the melt-in-your-mouth Crispy Pork Jowl ($14 for 125g) with a sweet and savoury miso gula melaka dip. Choose between their Ubin Fried Mee Sua ($28) or the soupy Hokkien Mee (from $15) that's made extra good with pork lard! Treat dad to their juicy Rib Eye Steak ($90 for 600g) that is sure to impress! Pro tip: if you're in the area at breakfast, try their decadent Foie Gras Egg Special ($10.50) where the average soft-boiled eggs are elevated by pan-seared foie gras and truffle salt. Yum!

Our Singaporean Favourite Seafood Dish. Mud Crabs are often used to stir fried with savoury chilli and tomato base sauce. It is often not overly spicy with hints of sweetness.
Featuring the Chili Crab 800g S$68 from New Ubin Seafood (Zhongshan Park) The crab was fresh. I tried the pincer the meat was juicy and succulent. The sauce was savoury and very generous. Not overly spicy and sweet. Great to go with fried Mantou!
