This has a deep brick red colour, with a smooth, soft texture. It has aromas and tastes of toffee, toasted white bread, and malt.
.
Nicely bitter roasty sweet in flavour, with a medium lingering finish. A decent brew to alleviate the heat from spicy dishes.

Many stalls sell similar genre of food - of satay, bbq seafood, zichar, chicken wings, carrot cake, prawn noodles, and heaps of fresh coconut drinks to cleanse the greasy mouthfeel after all that feasting.

Minimum 2 pieces to order, which will cost you $4.40.
1. Poorly rolled Popiah
2. Poor customer service
3. Effortless in sparse ingredients (no garlic, no lettuce)
4. Plate was thrown to me when it was done.
5. So expensive that I ate it all any way.

I think all in all, it was a bad experience and Fortune Popiah still does it well in ALL aspects from the points above.

Oyster omelet ($8)

They mix flour into the egg and it taste like waffle. 😑
Felt cheated as it is not really 100% egg.
With the price i can get something better else where.

.
From Hup Kee. The stall has been around for years, and they fry the oysters separately from the egg.
.
This results in a fluffy omelette with crisp edges, yet the oysters are still juicy and succulent.
