Dau sa piah @ $1

Perhaps this confectionery's piahs are better than their cakes and muffins. This dausapiah and pineapple piah are actually quite good. This is flaky and the saltiness taste is just nice, while the pineapple one has a good taste but not too sweet.

A little expensive though as there other places that sell better piah at less than $1.

Kaya cake @ $1

This has the deceiving look of a good old school cake but it's rather disappointing when put in the mouth. Taste waste, it's rather mild and not too sweet, which is good as sometimes kaya flavoured pastry might be overpowering. But the bottom layer has this weird texture that's not what I imagined it to be and felt almost like plastic.

Box of assorted muffins @ 60cents each.

There's blueberry, raisin, cheese, pandan, orange and walnut flavours. But they all taste about the same. Good buy for the price but it's not superb.

Crust was meh. Better when reheated, but still not great. For the filling its much much firmer than hangheung’s lpb, there's some crunchy thing? Also it has the banana soft roll taste. I wouldn’t repurchase.

Got both the sweet and salty ones. It was kinda floury, slightly crunchy but the pastry part was not v nice. The salty one is nicer, sweet one is ok only. Don’t think I’ll repurchase.

These were adequately moist and had pretty decent texture, but nothing to shout about. The walnut was the nicest, as I like the crunch from the walnuts, and the muffin itself had a nice neutral flavour. The blueberry one had some blueberry jam, was alright. The banana one had the artificial banana essence flavour taste, but it’s like the traditional soft chewy snack which I like, so I’m alright with it. The lemon one had the artificial lemon essence taste too, rly similar to Khong Guan lemon biscuit so i wasn’t too impressed.
