Ban Mian ($5)

I decided to try their soup version for ban mian after a long time. Their soup broth was full of different flavour but their ban mian size was quite thin compared to the rest of the stall.

The signature ban mian includes al-dente noodles topped with minced pork, ikan bilis, fried shallots, garlic, runny egg and dried shrimp chilli. The fried garlic pairs well with the bowl of noodles. Mix the egg and coat the noodles with chilli for some silky and spicy kick. Overall, it is a decent bowl of ban mee which I would pop by if I’m around the vicinity 》$4.80 / Small

Opened 24 hours, this is one of the best ban mian I had.

Need to stir the egg and chilli together with the ban mian to fully enjoy this.

Take note, Chilli very explosive.

Just a stone's throw away from Kovan MRT, there sits a coffeeshop by the junction that literally goes by the name "The Coffee Shop". The small food court houses multiple stores that have won the hearts of many 💖

Among which includes The Breakfast Club (which recently opened a new outlet at Holland Village) and Ng Kuan Chilli Pan Mee. I've been wanting to visit for a while and finally ticked this off my list!

Had high expectarions of their signature dry ban mian. The KL-style dry pan mee came with minced meat, fragrant garlic bits, fried shallots and anchovies. Mix that runny egg and all ingredients together with the noodles before eating 🍳

Overall, its a decent bowl of pan mee. If I were to nitpick, I did find the shallots a bit too charred (that led to a slight bitter taste). I was also hoping for unabashedly spicy pan mee so I'd definitely add more chilli on my next visit 🍜🔥

Do note that seats are limited and coffeeshop is usually crowded even ahead of lunch time (or at least it was so on my visit). If you'd rather skip the waiting time for seats, there's a free delivery option for orders above $30. This outlet also operates 24/7 so it could be a good supper alternative!
