[CLOSED] Niigata Bento (The Clementi Mall)

My fav is the Truffle Udon, which is only available at their Clementi outlet for now. Fret not, it is also available on @foodpandasg, @deliveroo_sg, @grabfoodsg and @honestbeesg.

Craving for some Japanese cuisine? Time to visit Niigato Bento to enjoy their signature Tori Teriyaki Bento. The chicken is freshly prepared with chef's special homemade teriyaki sauce and it goes perfect with the Koshihikari Rice. The homemade teriyaki sauce comes with a perfect combination of savoury & sweet fragrance of shoyu and rice wine.
Apart from that, I was impressed by their truffle udon. The udon is mixed in truffle oil and topped with fish roe and kani strips. The spicy salmon mini don is served with fresh salmon cubes and with a special spicy paste. Do note that both the truffle udon and spicy salmon mini don is only available at their Clementi mall outlet and available via delivery platforms such as @grabfoodsg @honestbeesg @foodpandasg @deliveroo_sg .

Bought some deal from chope so I got the set for 5 dollars plus. However I think the original price at $11 will be too much. Food is decent but not amazing.

Pretty surprised by the variety Niigata Bento, a takeaway kiosk, had to offer; sides, Bento boxes, Chirashi bowls and Donburis!

The katsu donburi consisted of a pretty massive piece of breaded pork cutlet, sliced onions, shittake mushrooms and egg laid on a bed of soft, sticky Japanese short-grained rice, topped with nori strips. The texture of the katsu, that was already cut into smaller pieces for convenience, was tender but lacked of juiciness and was slightly weak in flavour. While there was brown sauce drizzled over the rice, it was generally dry and I would have preferred if there was more egg sauce poured over my donburi, instead of an egg that was overcooked in this case.

For the portion, it's still worth the price (especially if you are able to snag discounts from eatigo!) but taste was mediocre.

They are the Truffle Udon and the Spicy Salmon Mini Don! Both were good and especially fans of truffle, you’ll be in for a treat as the Truffle is generously mixed into the udon with the addition of fish roes and kani strips! For rice lovers, the salmon cubes are added with spicy paste to give you that kick when u sink your teeth into the salmon!

Of course their signature Tori Teriyaki Bento which comes with fresh chicken pan fried with Chef’s homemade teriyaki sauce, served along side with Japanese rice and delectable sides are always gonna be a hit and available throughout all their branches which includes their newest addition @ourtampineshub!
