Definitely worth the trip here! Prices of the drinks were affordable and the matcha was so authentic!

Artisanal matcha drinks and dessert. One of the more popular matcha house in KL now, is this small minimalist cafe @nikonekomatcha. Using imported matcha powder from Japan, they serve authentic matcha dessert where you satisfy your matcha craving!

We had the Matcha Flan (MYR14) paired with their signature mocktail, Momotaro (MYR14). The flan is dense and has a rich matcha flavour though I’m not a fan of their tart base. While the drink was refreshing, it has an acquired taste as it combines white peach, lychee and rosemary leaves.

Made with Kiku (80% umami).
One of the best matcha I’ve ever tasted in KL. Super refreshing!
Also bought the sourdough croissant (RM10). Love the ambience here (and the beautiful KITTY)

Japanese tea lovers, flock to this minimalist cafe for all things matcha and more. If it’s your first time here, go for the Ren Iced Matcha Latte (frrom RM16), which Burppler Xing Wei Cheang describes as “vibrant green and jam-packed with umami, both signs of the best quality matcha”. Also good is the Hojicha Latte (RM10) with strong roasted notes. P.s The pure matcha powder is available for sale, and can be used for drinking, baking and more!

Really rich matcha latte, but the one thing that puts me off is when you open and look inside. You pretty much see a big block of ice taking up the entire container.

Few notes about being here. Food is really small and overpriced for the size, place is small and busy, so you'll feel REALLY claustrophobic.

Other than that, there's a reason why NikoNeko is so popular nowadays, because that make some really good matcha.

Small cafe locates at first floor of shoplot, sharing with another plant studio.
