Nasi Rempah Bento from @9spicessg (halal-certified)!

I am sure all of us are familiar with nasi lemak or nasi briyani, but what about Nasi Rempah! Nasi Rempah translates to “Spiced Rice” and it is a unique fusion between Nasi Lemak and Nasi Briyani! 🌟

Items I tried:
🐤Nasi Rempah with Crispy Boneless Chicken Cutlet ($6): The fried chicken was marinated to perfection! I felt like I was eating KFC chicken! Finger licking good! What’s more, there is no bones, made for easy eating!

The rice used here is the basmati rice, and it was very well spiced and seasoned with spices like cinnamon and star anise. Very fragrant aromatic taste! The bento set comes with a choice of meat, cherry tomato, achar (which had sweet pineapples, cucumbers and carrots) and half a hard boiled egg! Along with the rice bento, you get a side of sambal which was mildly spicy, as well as a bowl of thick vege curry sauce dip to go with the aromatic rice. So you get three different taste in total for the rice! ❤️💛♥️

📍They are located at 302 Choa Chu Kang Ave 4 Coffeeshop. Islandwide delivery is also available on GrabFood. Check them out now!

tried the Satay (mutton and chicken; 10 sticks for $8), which is available daily from 5pm-1am. The satay was grilled to perfection and had a flavourful tumeric taste. The satay sauce dip was also super nutty and went well with the satay skewers! 👍🏻

🐟Nasi Rempah with Saba ($7): The saba was such a huge piece! It was also bbq grilled to perfection, very soft and fresh and drizzled with the sweet teriyaki sauce!

Probably the most value for money option here. Was deceived by the pic lol I tot it was braised or sth, but it's actually fried ckn smothered with sambal

Good crunch on the batter, ckn was quite juicy at the meaty parts. Sambal was decent, on the milder side with some tang, sweetness, and complexity.

Worth a try if you're nearby

Ordered the Nasi Rempah Chicken Drumstick ($4). You can feel the spices from the rice and it has good mixed of vegetables such as cherry tomato, vegetable and egg. The chicken is cooked to order and the chicken was flavourful. However, I think the batter is too thick and not much flavour too it.

For $4 and something you don't usually see in the market, it is a very good deal.
