First time trying their mala ppong and I really love it!! Mala lovers would enjoy this! The soup really has the mala taste and there’s really a kick, and not suitable for people who can’t take spicy food because you can’t choose the spice level for this. As usual, the noodles at nipong naepong can never go wrong, very chewy and yummy. Would order this again!! Bad thing is that there is always a long queue and we waited for around an hour to get a seat on an ordinary weekday, so be prepared to wait!

Good to know that Nipong Naepong, the first fusion jjamppong specialty restaurant with 2 outlets (JEM & 313 Somersest) in Singapore is available for island wide delivery!

▪️Tae Ppong, another seafood dish that they wok-fried the Jjolmyeon (Spicy Chewy Noodles) with sweet and spicy sauce.
▪️Ni Pizza, my all-time favourite, a must order whenever I visit them. Thin crust base filled with homemade sweet potato puree. It can be either a main course or a dessert after a meal.

That is because Valentine’s Day is celebrated on February 14 (when women buy men gifts); while White Day is celebrated on March 14 (the men will reciprocate). And for singles who did not get any presents or love those two days, they will ‘celebrate’ by wearing black and eating black Jajangmyeon to drown their sorrows.

Jajangmyeon 자장면 is a delicious Korean noodle dish topped with a thick sauce made of chujang (black bean sauce), diced pork, and vegetables, with origins from the Chinese’s Zha Jiang Mian.

Don’t be sad, okay?
Here are some Korean restaurants in Singapore which serve up black Jajangmyeon, some are offering islandwide delivery:

Served w lettuce for you to make ur ssam. Egg was v fluffy and crisped up at the bottom. Beef was really good, aggressively seasoned and super tender. Such a treat at this price point, none of that chewy, tough nonsense many joints offer. Only gripe is possibly the amount of beef, it was q thinly sliced so it wasn't that generous, but it's good enough. Highly recommended overall, pls mix everything in as the sides add crunch, sweetness and a bit of heat

Take note the paste was q salty, I would advise against removing any rice if you're stirring in all the paste. The paste was necessary as the rice and egg lacks any seasoning, only the beef was seasoned.

Btw with this plate I've finally tried everything I want to from their new menu!

Not the first time I had a sweet garlic pizza, mad for garlic has one as well. Very different, this pizza has a moderate garlicky punch and it was q sweet itself, before adding the whipped cream. Works better than expected, if a little weird, but their other sweet pizzas are good too so probably better to try that first

Usually this tastes very different from the Chinese version, but the one here is very muted in sweetness compared to most Korean versions I've had, which actually reminds me of the Chinese version. Still, quite solid, tho their other items are better and more unique
