They serve two types of waffles - buttermilk/pandan gula melaka. Each order of waffles includes one complimentary sauce which we get to choose from the classic maple syrup, childhood milo or house-made jam.

I got myself the buttermilk waffle with maple syrup, topped with genmaicha (classic) and oolong osmanthus (premium) gelato served on traditional old-school rooster plates. The waffles are done crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside. Genmaicha gelato was expectable and nothing to shout about but the oolong osmanthus fared better with a refreshing, light and creamy texture.

No Horse Run is a cosy little cafe that opens till 2AM daily serving artisanal gelato and waffles in the heartlands of Yishun but getting a table during busy hours is challenging as they have very limited seats available. I had to wait for more than 30mins to get a table past midnight and another 30mins for my food to be served after ordering.

A pretty new cosy ice cream place with long queues even at midnight. Most flavours were sold out at 12am (note that they close at 2am). Managed to try Seasalt Matcha and Cereal Mai Pian and both belong to the creamier side. My vote goes to Seasalt Matcha! Will head down again to try other flavours πŸ˜‹

2 scope of ice cream + pandan waffle cost around $15. Quite a small stall. Waffle is nice. Ice cream flavour also quite unique.

Pandan gula melaka waffles ($6.50)
Double scoop ice cream ($8.20 + $0.80 for a premium scoop) - Roasted Sesame and Smoky Milk with Cacao Nibs

When it comes to waffles, personally it's always texture first, taste second. Love the texture of this waffles, firm on the outside (not crispy, but firm) and soft on the inside with just enough moisture level. Thickness is great too. Taste wise, can taste a hint of the pandan and gula melaka and it's not overly strong or overpowering.
Waffles come with a complimentary sauce and we had the cameralised cookies which goes very well especially the ice cream.

As for the ice cream, the roasted sesame is well done, nothing to complain about but not anything to be fanatical about either. Smokey milk with cacao bits sounds like a novelty, but it's actually quite interesting and good. Many other flavours to try if timing is right and they change the flavours every once in a while too (great effort!)

Only down side is that it's a small place with limited seating (8pax) so the waiting time was rather long on a Sunday afternoon. Many people just bought the ice cream for takeaway, but I was here for the waffle so I was willing to wait 45mins. Food was worth the wait, but the price point is a little steep for the location and small shop size.

Will come back but maybe not so soon or so frequently.

Waited 1.5hrs for my waffles. Machine spoil also never inform customer that waiting time longer than usual..... waffles are normal, nothing much to rave about. Give this a miss unless you’re looking to waste your time and get bitten by mosquitoes (if you’re sitting outdoors). Really disappointing experience.
