This plate of CKT was lacking the sinful taste it should have. Wished it was a little saltier, oilier with more egg and more flavours. More on the healthier side, it was lacking the Wok Hei.
On the other hand, the Ngor Hiang was what we would return for. Each order was based on number of pax and they didn’t allow choosing. But every item on our plate tasted great.

It was pretty flavorful & sweet, but I preferred my CKT to have some chilli in it. 🔥🔥 ⁣

Plates were priced $4/$5/$6/$8 and I ordered $5. ⁣
Uncle was v generous w his ingredients and cooked each plate individually. 🥰 Wah, when you bite into the cockles, you can literally taste the sea. 😂😂😂 ⁣

This plate was $4, but the portion and amount of lup cheong, fish cakes and cockles given was pretty generous.
An expert melding of lard, chili and sweet sauce delivered a robust and gratifying burst of umami and sweetness, with just the right amount of spicy oomph. Uncle's mastery also imparted a delicate kiss of smokiness from the wok — just noticeable, but not striking. Really good rendition, the best though? Not sure about that.

Ranked as one of the best char kway teows in Singapore, this stall always has a long queue at Zion Food Centre. The portion is definitely generous; with a good amount of fishcake, beansprouts, chinese sausage, pork lard and fresh cockles! Overall the taste is really yummy; it has a right balance of sweet and savoury filled with a strong wok hei flavour. Definitely a must try if you’re in the area and have time to spare (cos of the long waiting time).


Pretty decent plate with sweet notes(closer to seafood hints than from dark soy sauce). Loved how the egg is done but the pork lard wasn't nearly crispy or aromatic enough. Definitely a solid plate still though


This remains one of those ckt that are satisfying but miss out on greatness. And somehow, whereas most ckt you get one taste, here the fishcake is distinct.
