Hands down the best prawn noodles I've tasted. The richness of the soup blew my mind and the noodles were so silky and well tossed in the sinful lard. The price is so high because of the huge prawns tossed in but honestly everything was so well done, I'd be happy to go without. This was absolutely worth queueing for a good 30 minutes from 6pm.
Umami Rich Broth with huge fresh prawns and tender pork ribs. Price from $8.00.

When I'm seriously craving for a bowl of good prawn noodles, I have three places on my list and one of them is the Zion Road Big Prawn Noodles aka ็ฅๅณ้ฒ Fresh Taste Big Prawn Noodles, located at the Zion Riverside Food Center.
I'd always go for the dry version to enjoy the chilli-coated noodles separately from the umami-packed broth with those gigantic wild-caught sea prawns. ๐
Remembered trying this 2 years ago and it didnโt leave a โWOWโ impression. This year after the hawker gone through a renovation I decided to give it a try again.
Price definitely increased and $6 wasnโt an option anymore.
I ordered the $12 and definitely find it pricey given that weโre in hawker and also for the portion.
Prawns were indeed big however it was sliced into half so technically only 2 prawns for $12.
The broth was rich but similarly this trip did not leave me a โWOWโ impression.
Zion Road prawn mee is my favourite! Prices have gone up over the years and theyโre now 8/12/16/20/25, but when you see the size of the prawns you understand why. The prawns are huge, and are of monstrous proportions if you pay $25. Thereโs also a good portion of tender pork ribs, and the soup is wonderfully rich with both a prawn and a porky fragrance.
Ordered the ๐๐ซ๐ฒ ๐๐ซ๐๐ฐ๐ง ๐๐จ๐จ๐๐ฅ๐ for $8. It was quite pricey for a hawker food, but trust me, itโs really worth the price and the queueing time (it took me ~30 mins).
The broth was incredibly rich, tasty and comforting with a tinge of sweetness. As itโs my first experience eating prawn noodle, I was also surprised to find fall-off-the-bone pork ribs in my soup below the two fresh giant prawns. It was really delicious, and I didnโt hesitate to drink more of the rich yet light broth.
The noodle was the thick yellow vermicelli type that was cooked al dente. Initially thought that the noodle would be bland, but it was addictively yummy and served with fragrant fried shallots. The soup and the noodle really made a souper match! ๐๐ผ

Itโs amazing that the stall was run by just one uncle, who, despite having to prepare for the seemingly unending orders, still greeted each of the customers amicably. His friendliness made me forget the tiredness from standing in the queue for so long โบ๏ธ
Would recommend you to try this prawn noodle if you havenโt already!
