Aptly named "Biang Biang" noodles (presumably after the sound of hitting the strip of noodle against the table), this dish was super yummy! It came with a small dish of meat sauce which I decided to pour into the bowl and mix it together with the noodle, and was slightly spicy due to the chili that was already mixed with the noodles. The noodle was chewy and thick, and last but not least the egg was soft boiled, with the yolk still slightly soft and runny. I would also recommend the pan fried dumplings and the noodles with onion oil and pan-fried shredded duck. Super appetizing and definitely affordable for a restaurant on Orchard road ($33 for 2 pax - 3 dishes + drinks). Don't forget to check out their deal on pickatSG!

@tunglokgroup's Noodle Stories has 4 different set meals going at just $12.80++ which comes with a Noodle of your choice, a small appetizer, dessert and a drink (home-made herbal tea/soy milk) It is considered one of the more pocket friendly meals you can have in Orchard😉 #noodlestories

It's just $12.80++ for this noodle value set and available everyday including sat and sun. It is located at level 7 of Orchard Central. Noodles Value Meal Set C ($12.80++) which has
'Biang Biang' Noodle (ala carte $10.80)
'Wanton' with Black Vinegar and Chilli Oil 红油抄手
Lemongrass Jelly with Fruits 青檸香茅冻 ( ala carte $4.50)
Herbal Tea or Soya Bean Milk 凊热凉茶或豆奶

The noodle has handmade noodle texture but comes in a single long piece, unlike the usual handmade noodle which is tore into many pieces. The minced meat sauce is served separate where one can adjust the amount to go with the noodle.

The dessert tastes light and refreshing, with a hint of lemongrass.

The handmade noodles is somewhat like a huge Mee hoon kueh 😂 It came as a single long piece and wow, it's super chewy QQ.

Besides this, we also had beef noodles, wanton in black vinegar & chili oil, fried fish skin, mango pomelo sago and washed down with a glass of cold soy milk.

We grab a few quick minutes in our busy day to have a coffee break. We rush back to our desks, we watch the clock, we live by appointments. And yet your time eventually runs out and you wonder in your heart of hearts if those seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years and decades were being spent the best way they possibly could. In other words, if you could change anything, would you?" || ~ Do what matters. Seize the day. Love. Wildly. 😍 {Wanton with black vinegar and chili oil} from Noodle Stories by Tunglok. A dish that obviously won my heart amidst the other lackluster offerings. 🍜 Do look out for their $12.90 lunch sets though. Pretty bang for buck if you're looking for an affordable place to dine in the somerset area.

At this new noodle place by Tung Lok. Decided to have one of their specialty, biang biang noodles. It's like zha jiang mian with super fat noodles and onsen egg. I really love the minced meat sauce! Enough vinegar and braised sauce to accentuate the pork. 👍👍👍
