Back here the 2nd time cos I got craving for their jjm and the food never disappoints. Ordered the jjm set and cheese kimchi pancake for 2 pax. Thought that the wait time will be long on a Saturday night but didn’t wait as long compared to their bbq outlet. Left the place feeling satisfied and full, and a free ice cream in my hand.

Lean into those Friday vibes as we end off the day having supper at Obba Jjajang and BBQ. Go for their BBQ Sets (range from $54) which include pork belly, marinated chicken and a wide variety of side dishes. Order and make some soju bomb to go along.

Don’t forget to order their Cheese Kimchi Jeon too. The traditional Korean Jeon aka pancake is made from slightly tangy-spicy kimchi and topped with plenty of melted mozzarella cheese. Just look at that gratifying cheese pull~

Spicy jajangmyeon
sauce was flavourful , noodles were springy.

Kimchi tofu stew(?)
my fave dish out of all 3 i ordered, the soup was really nice. It was very comforting and delectable. It’s a must order. Would go back just for the stew

nothing rlly special about this. Felt the soup base itself is q tastless compared to the kimchi stew. Idrk how it’s supposed to taste like because I rarely eat Korean. Has quite a lot of ingredients inside though. But if you’re on a budget ,I would skip this.

Damage ~$50 for two pax

$10 only and worth the money :) Filling for one person.
Not to forget the free side dishes which makes you full and goes well with the rice.

Different from regular Jjamppong where seafood is one of the main ingredients. Army stew-styled Jjamppong, with ingredients you often see in army stew such as luncheon meat, sausage and such. Huge portion, nice soup, great noodles. Spiciness wise, it wasn’t notable.

the pancake was crispy and superbly flavourful with generous chunks of fresh seafood (prawns, squid). the jjajangmyeon is the must-order dish with its spot-on black bean sauce and addictively chewy noodles.

the order also came with free side dishes (hard boiled eggs, kimchi, etc), water and a melona ice cream per person.

highly recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic and tasty Korean cuisine (though do be prepared to queue for some time)!!
