From the Burpple community

The best part about Ocean Curry is that they are primarily a cai png stall. You therefore get to pick from a myriad of dishes at the counter and at really affordable prices (as compared to a tzi char stall).

Our favourite dish was their salted egg prawns. Yes, they aren't served piping hot but the prawns were plump and juicy and the salted egg sauce simply divine. We would also recommend their sweet and sour pork too!

The 3 ladies in my life (Granny, the Mother and Miss K) are bonded in their love for one dish, curry fish head.

For their signature curry fish head, Ocean uses the more premium ang go sai fish (white snapper / sea bream) which is more tender and moist. Their curry gravy is also rather unique. You can taste the distinctive notes of the masala spice blend of Indian curry in a rich creamy coconut-based Nonya curry. We are not usually fans of Indian curry but this was more subtle than overpowering.

We have been checking out various options but when it comes to convenience, taste and value for money, Ocean Curry Fish Head is our hands down winner (thus far)!

Arrived at 5.30 in the evening and there was already a long queue but it moves pretty fast. Oceanus is a Cai Png stall that also serves piping hot curry fish head in a claypot. Service was fast. The fish head curry had a lot more flavours from spices compared with others that I have tried. Not over powering spicy hot. Still prefer the Assam Fish head curry type for the tangy taste.

This cai fan is great!!! I was very happy with the large selection of food offered and picked 2 vegetables and a pork dish covered in a yellow sauce which I initially thought was salted egg. Unfortunately, it turned out to be (nacho?) cheese sauce and that was very disappointing. That said, I still enjoyed my lunch very much because the vegetables were delicious and the curry gravy was very rich.

A pot of bubbling hot and spicy fish head curry was what we needed to make the best out of it. A good one to be exact.

Ordered the biggest portion for 4 people, thinking that it will be just enough for each of us but there was still quite a lot of gravy left!

We thought that they serve their food in a zi-char manner, however they don't! It's just curry fish head, and if you still want some side dishes, you've to order from the cai fan stall. They've dishes like what you can normally get at a cai fan stall: egg tofu, kang kong etc.

For the price, we felt that the side dishes were overpriced as the portion was kind of small, but cost $4 per plate. It was quite disappointing. As of the curry fish head, it taste good! So the price is reasonable 👍🏼
