As you can tell from the title of this review, it’s my favourite matcha latte!

I have struggled to find a café in Singapore that offers a matcha latte made with pure matcha, no added sugar or milk powder, and not using a premix, so finding this was a real treat.

This is the Ice Matcha Cappuccino with oat milk, which is also blended like the Ice Cappuccino to make an extra creamy drink. They use the perfect amount of matcha such that it isn’t too bitter and I still taste the matcha more than the oat milk. I like how the oat milk compliments the matcha and I find that it goes better with matcha than other alternative milks.

Once again their customer service is great because they even let you know how best to enjoy this drink; drink half first then mix before drinking the second half.

This is definitely more than enough in terms of volume for this drink and extra refreshing on a hot, sunny day!

Omotesando Koffee is the one café I’m willing to splurge on for a really great cuppa.

It’s definitely on the more expensive side for coffee in Singapore compared to other chains, but it is so worth it.

This is the Ice Cappuccino with oat milk (as I’m lactose intolerant). I like their concept of an iced cappuccino because that isn’t very common and they actually blend the espresso and milk together to get this extra creamy drink. It’s topped with some cocoa powder and foam from the blending.

Before they had alternative options, I did try this drink with regular cow’s milk (because not even being intolerant to lactose could stop me from trying this in all of its original glory) and it tasted even creamier! They do recommend using cow’s milk for this as the blending creates more foam on top and the foam stays foamy longer.

This drink also only comes with 1 shot of espresso, which is enough for me, so the coffee taste isn’t too strong. I like their customer service because they always make it a point to let you know all the details of the drink you are ordering - eg. how many shots of espresso it contains, how an alternative milk may change the taste and look, and whether you want any sugar added in your drink.

I come back quite often as it’s conveniently located in the CBD, perfect for a post-lunch coffee treat but it’s more of a treat than my everyday coffee place.

My 100th post goes to this famous Japanese coffee joint! Their iced cappuccino is a sweet midday pick up. They blend the ice till it’s very fine so it tastes like a creamy coffee milkshake but somehow still manages to be really light on the palate. This was good but was more like a dessert than a coffee for me

Omotesando Koffe located at Downtown Gallery (Shenton Way) and oh yes, I managed to visit there for Matcha Latte 🍵 (Kyoto Green Tea) ($6.00) plus oat milk ($1.00). I like their cappuccino (foam) (iced) that its quite unique drink ☕. I like their soothing and not that creamy Matcha Latte. I did taste a bit of oat milk but that's not much at all 🤏. The place look really atas and got that Japan Vibes.

This place is like a maze with amazing coffee and matcha latte.

This was a nice balance of milk and matcha. Unlike some other cafes that have a overwhelming milk taste, this was earthy but pleasant.

For an afternoon pick-me-up, this joint from Tokyo provides coffee/matcha latte in a purist fashion, concocting the drinks from its various elements. I almost had the matcha without sugar syrup, and its intense bitterness made me cave in.

($6 for R, $7 for L)

It’s a famous coffee. It’s a franchise. It didn’t tasted awesome. It felt like the OG would be different but a lot better. Not buying this again, unless overseas.

The matcha is laid on pretty thick here, and the bitter aftertaste is evident. The milk to matcha ratio is quite balanced and well-blended, and you can clearly see the amount of care the barista puts into making each cup. One of the better cups of matcha lattes available in Singapore :)

The barista recommended getting a double shot for the iced mochaccino for a stronger taste. Since it was my first time having their coffee, she also shared how to savour it. Drink half of the cup as it is before stirring in the unsweetened cocoa powder and the chocolate syrup (if it’s not sweet enough)

Need not to describe for those who love Japanese coffee .
A great grab n go or sipping a cup of coffee at this lovely cafe in the CBD area !

Waited for around 5mins for this which is much shorter than I expected. Feel like drinking milkshake as the coffee and the milk is mixed pretty well together. But like what the barista mentioned before I order, I would go for double shot next time so to have a stronger flavour of coffee.

The preparation of the mochaccino was meticulous and the end product was a looker. It was smooth, milky and mellow; a pleasure to sip but there is better coffee out there, especially at its price point.

Is the hot cappuccino less strong and more bitter than its cold variant? Oh, but the same drink at their other branch in another city fared way better. Different barista, different brand of milk?
Thinking back, they actually recommended me this very drink during my first visit. Uhm, nah.

Kind of surprised 😲 by the way the bubbles were formed on top of the drink. Just need to be patient.

$8 a cup of spectacular iced mochaccino.
Step 1, wait for bubbles to form, look out for falling unsweetened chocolate powder.
Step 2, sip some of the delicious drink.
Step 3, stir it, and of course finish the drink.
Smile.

The most recommended drink is the hot cappuccino, they said. Sadly it was warm outside, and my next destination was outdoor, so no hot drinks for me, thank you. The couple before me were busy taking pictures of this by the espresso machine. I was hooked. Alright, I guess. Better than those from the typical coffee chains, but still rather diluted... and pricey. A bit much for the hype.

P.S. The baristas would tell the story behind your order, the intended way to drink it, and how to take the best photo of it.

Went there not knowing how they did their coffee. Thought the bubble cap was made through some special milk technique or what (was so curious) but noooo they just blend the capp and somehow it bubbles on its own???? SUPER COOL.

Barista recommended drinking half of the coffee before mixing in the milk foam and cocoa powder ☕️ #omotesandokoffeesingapore #burpple

I’m not really a coffee person so decided to try on their iced Matcha Cappuccino instead. Well for the expensive drink among the others, it doesn’t taste overwhelming for the Matcha but rather the milky taste that made the drink sweet. Perhaps one day I should really try their coffee.

While I appreciate the service and precision that went into each cup, can't say I'd be willing to shell out $8 for their Double-shot Iced Cappuccino again. #OmotesandoKoffee #FindNewFood #shotoniphonex
