Omurice and spaghetti together, and cheap, what's not to like? Well, it's not very good lol. Maybe that's why Keisuke has replaced it. I selected mentaiko pasta and cream sauce. Apart from an omelette done well, everything was basic.

Here at Omurice Keisuke, delectable fresh eggs is the main star of their melt-in-your-mouth masterpiece๐Ÿคฉ. Using locally-farmed eggs which comes from hens fed with omega-rich grains, it results in a richer and creamier omelette that works perfectly with the western-style Japanese fried rice.

Better than expected and super filling๐Ÿ˜Œ. Be sure to come with an empty belly and spam more beansprouts!

A very super bright meal over here under the light. The fried rice was topped with thick layer of scrambled egg and remember to top up for extra cheese sauce also.

The combo also comes with spaghetti, salad and soup. You could also grab some topping selection like their ebi fry.

While their Omurice Combo may be a โ€˜carb overloadโ€™ (Rice + Spaghetti), I just didnโ€™t want to experience a food regret. Unfortunately for me though, my wallet regretted paying that additional $3++. Yes, their spaghetti is not worth it.
When my combo came, I was relieved that the spaghetti was just a small side on the plate, kind of like adding a boiled potato to a Western meal. While it was slightly creamy, the mentaiko could have been far more pronounced and I was ultimately disappointed. On to the main event, the eggs tasted as creamy as they looked but I do feel that they could have been fluffier. Meanwhile, the rice was a little lacklustre as the tomato notes were too subtle. Nevertheless, ๐˜„๐—ต๐—ฎ๐˜ ๐˜€๐˜๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—ฑ ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐˜ ๐˜๐—ผ ๐—บ๐—ฒ ๐˜„๐—ฎ๐˜€ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ถ๐—ฟ ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ถ-๐—ด๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ ๐˜€๐—ฎ๐˜‚๐—ฐ๐—ฒ which brought all the components together. Slightly bitter but very umami, it complemented the sweeter rice well. My dining companion did comment that the teriyaki sauce from the Chicken Teriyaki Hamburg fared better, probably because its flavour was bolder and more familiar. To each his own I guess.

Both of us were pretty disappointed when the hamburg came, as it was ๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐˜๐—ถ๐˜๐—ฒ ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ $๐Ÿฏ++. Thankfully though, it was cooked really well, with a charred and crispy outer skin adding that familiarย smoky, slightly bitter note to the otherwise one-dimensional, albeit flavourful, teriyaki sauce. ๐—–๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ต๐—ผ๐˜„ ๐˜„๐—ฒ๐—น๐—น ๐—ถ๐˜ ๐˜„๐—ฎ๐˜€ ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—ธ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ, ๐—œ ๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ป'๐˜ ๐—ณ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐—น ๐˜๐—ผ๐—ผ ๐—ฏ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ ๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ฎ๐˜„๐—ฎ๐˜† ๐˜„๐—ถ๐˜๐—ต ๐—บ๐˜† ๐—บ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐˜† ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ณ๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ but I did likely go elsewhere for a protein fix.

Overall, while Omurice Keisuke did live up to its name of serving up affordable Japanese food at a decent quality, I got to admit that this would be my least favourite branch thus far.ย

Great $12.90++ omurice plus mentaiko combo. Large portions because I upsized for free, and itโ€™s served with a choice of sides (coleslaw was delicious) and miso soup. The egg was fluffy soft and creamy, utterly delicious! The rice inside was
Tomato-flavoured and stir fried fragrantly with onions. The mentaiko pasta was quite salty but one of the nicer mentaiko pastas Iโ€™ve ever had! The noodles were firm and the pasta complemented the rice well. It was nice but I donโ€™t think Iโ€™d have a specific craving for this. Worth a try though!

A place catered to carb lovers. After reading much raved reviews and how affordable this place is, I decided to give it a try.

One can have omurice for only $9.90 with a free upsize option. For $12.90, you get a combo with mentaiko spaghetti. It comes with a choice of salads and miso soup too. Add-ons such as cheese sauce (made live at your table), pork rib, chicken wing and chicken Hamburg steak are available.

Most of the popular add-ons were sold out at the time I went. The omelette was soft, creamy and fluffy. Unfortunately, it went downhill after. The tomato fried rice was nothing but carbs with paltry servings of diced chicken. The mentaiko pasta tasted ordinary and isnโ€™t worth the extra serving of carbs. As for the signature cheese sauce, Iโ€™d prefer if they used less cheddar (they use two types of cheddar) and more mozzarella (or include an additional variety of cheese). Itโ€™s not worth the $2 top up.

This is one of the many Keisuke concepts out there. Most of them are pretty good, but this was simply underwhelming and largely overrated.
