The lunch set promotion is quite worth of money. The set includes one of the selected main courses, mini salad and ice/hot green tea. I chose the seafood rice and it came with a decent portion. I didn't top up for the fancy cooked egg. This original one is already decently silky and flurry.

Sauce is not bad and isn’t “jelat”. Portion is big. Egg is runny and fluffy but have to top up $2 for that. Pork patty is pretty flavorful. Overall: 3.5/5

Not a big fan of this sauce, slightly on the sweet and sour side. Portion is big. Egg is runny and fluffy but have to top up $2 for that. Overall: 3/5

Order the Japanese Sauce Omu rice with Beef Patty ($12.80) but upgraded to lava style egg (+$2)
Was disappointed with it as the egg was not seasoned well. Japanese sauce tasted like dilute soya sauce with sugar in it. Beef patty was dry and had a strong unpleasant meat smell to it.
However, the redeeming factor was the shoyu butter fried rice that came with all OMU rice. It was fragrant and moist.

Overall: Would not come back here again unless there is a 1 for 1 offer

Soaked and dressed liberally in beef sauce, this dish appeared propelling to my tastebuds.

Presentation was simple which didn’t matter. What mattered to me was the failure of each dish in bringing out its unique/primary trait.

Pork cutlet tasteless albeit crunchy, rice was average, gravy too salty.

Would not come back here.

This plate would set you back about $16.80++, pork cutlet gets really hard when its cold. Egg is still moist and rather fluffy and a generous portion. Good at the first few bites, gets more and more jelak after. Best to share with another girlfriend!

Went back to Omu just to try another dish on their menu. This of course didn’t disappoint and the portions were so generous. There were also chicken pieces in the tomato-coated rice, yums! Tomato sauce packed separately.

So value for money! They were generous with the pork slices and the omelette seems to be the original size. The curry is also packed hot and separately so you can choose how much you need. I throughly enjoyed this and it’s now one of my favourite mealpal.

Had really bad omurice cravings and the queue at omurice keisuke in Bugis was too long and so we ended up here! We topped up $2 to get the omelette runny egg, which was so creamy and fluffy. However, the demiglace sauce was a little salty alongside the rice which had ketchup in it. Overall, this dish was pleasant and satisfied my omurice cravings!

😁 What's better than an #omelette? A LAVA one. 😍 And just add some #friedchicken and we're good to go (yes I know I might have a slightly unhealthy love for this)... The #Japanese #curry sauce was a little on the sour side but the dish was overall quite enjoyable, with the gooey #eggs and tender meat. Heard the tomato sauce rice with the demiglace sauce is better, will maybe try that next time! 😊😊

Thur night chill night is a great way for work life balance! No queue at Omu rice! Yay and the lava Omu really wobbles 💖 great classic combo of curry and pork katsu with omurice but surprisingly despite the wobble wobble my fave is still coco ichibanya in SG 😱 mentaiko sauce is abit mild for my liking. Overall 4/5 and I’m willing to try other flavors next time!

Spaghetti was al dente though portion could be more, cream was smooth & taste was not over bearing.

Bacon was done well however could be more generous with the bacon pieces. Topped off with evenly poached egg.

Worth returning! 👍🏼😋🍝

Definitely get the lava egg if you are here! The rice underneath is tomato fried rice with chicken and mushrooms. Overall not bad but the sauce was a bit too sour for my liking.

Tomato fried rice with chicken chunks encased within an omelette, topped with melted cheese on a bed of cream sauce. Fans of carbonara would be glad to find tender bacon slices and chewy, juicy mushrooms within the creamy sauce, the typical yet essential components. The omelette is soft, fluffy, firmer in texture as compared to the lava style though. Do not expect flowy eggs (as seen in the previous post) as this omelette is baked and cooked to its fullest! 🤭 . Didn’t really fancy the tomato fried rice (also due to the fact that I personally loathe tomato) as I found its sweetness a tad overwhelming to the other savoury elements and IMO, not a good accompaniment to the cream sauce.
Personal advice: Just get the lava eggs will do! 🙃🙂 .

The greatest highlight of this meal comes with an explosive lava egg (swipe to view the video) as the omelette was sliced apart! ✨The lava omelette was soft and fluffy with a slightly creamy, moist texture that I simply adore 💖. The accompanying mentaiko sauce was creamy with a pleasant umami flavor, a great enhancement to the butter rice. Served with tomato fried rice by default, I had opted for a swap to butter rice due to personal preference. The deep fried shrimps came with a crisp panko-crusted exterior, with an interior of fresh, plump and juicy shrimps. Though it would have been great if they were served separately instead, as some had lost its crispness upon contact with the Mentaiko cream sauce. Prior to my first dining experience at @omusg ‘s singapore outlet, the ones I had in Bangkok seemed to fare much better, with a more explosive lava omelette, more pocket-friendly pricing and a more attentive, friendly service .

The red miso sauce was a tad salty and the omurice was done alright (but nothing fantastic to scream about!). Had to share the pork cutlets with the dining partners as the nagoya-style red miso sauce came with the pork katsu (they didn't have the option to go without!).

Finally hopped on the hype on Omurice and boy I must say, wasn't regretting it one bit. With an additional top-up of $2, I chose my egg to be "lava style", which resulted my omu to be silky and flowy. The combination of the omu with the tomato rice pretty good. However the beef burger patty was a little too tough for my liking. The demiglaze sauce was a tad bit on the salty side of the flavour spectrum.

I was intrigued by the lava egg after watching a viral video of a Japanese chef cooking this, and it’s just nice that Singapore has a restaurant that specialises in Omu rice. I wouldn’t really recommend this though, the curry was rather diluted and lacking the thick Japanese curry taste. The lava egg also tasted really plain, making it just a visual gimmick for the dish 😭 Maybe I shall try the one in Japan!

Luckily we don't have to queue too long for it.
