Dining out of the office for once... In a long time. The noodles and chicken were fantastic! Wait for a bit long and our orders were missed during lunch time. But we would come back again as it's that good!

📍 Chiew Kee Noodle House
- Soya Sauce Chicken Noodle
- Dumplings Soup (3 Dumplings)

Often mistake this with their competitor (the one near traffic light), this is the one right the other end, nearer to Hong Lim Complex...

Find the noodle thinner and less of that alkaline taste, the chicken is pretty tender and the dumplings (filled with mushrooms, meat) is just a bonus!

Decent lunch (value for $) at CBD area, do expect crowd during lunch hour!

Damage: $5.50 (per plate with 3 dumplings)

There are two famous soya sauce chicken joints in this stretch of road and this is the one that has ‘2nd floor’ with aircon.

I personally feel the soya sauce chicken here tastes better than their competitor down the road with a more herbal flavour, while the noodles are the qq springy type. Yummy!

Succulent and well seasoned chicken, with chewy noodles. Do also order the dumpling soup which is generous with the dumplings.

Haven’t tried the other original stall, but seriously this will suffice.

The soy sauce chicken here tastes different from other ones that I've tried elsewhere. The chicken here has a stronger soya sauce taste as opposed to others that usually exert a lighter soya sauce scent and mixed with rose wine. This is purely soya goodness.

The meat is firm yet tender, really well marinated too!

Soy Sauce Chicken Noodle ($10)

It’s been decades since I revisited Chiew Kee Noodle House which serves up rows and rows of delectable perfectly braised chicken hanging in the glass window. The lunch crowd wasn’t overwhelming so thank goodness. We ordered soy sauce chicken for 2 pax and 2 plates of noodles. Lesson learnt, in future, order half chicken instead ($14) so that you get the full works of the chicken parts. Our plate of chicken for 2 pax comprised mainly breast meat instead of a good mix of parts.
