The last time I visited Oriole was before it revamped its menu in 2017. With its new menu, Oriole provides more options with their classic breakfast options, as well as a wide variety of mains to choose from. I decided to go for their signature truffle beef burger, choosing the meat’s doneness at medium rare. Stacked together with sautéed mushrooms, caramelised onions, melted cheese and truffle aioli, the burger was on the wet and soggier side - as a matter of personal preference, I felt that it was too soggy to my liking. Further, the bun was on the softer side, rather than one that was crisp and buttery. Despite the overall lacklustre flavour, the burger still managed to come together decently. This dish remains unimpressive, and the oddly textured fries lacking seasoning only reinforced it. Like in many cafes and bars, a burger this quality does the job. But if you’re looking for a burger to be impressed by, this would not be up for the task.

With burpple beyond’s 1-for-1, you can get a taisho white/black with a choice of main dish. Went for the taisho white, which was Oriole’s specialty cold brew coffee with milk. It was creamy and strong, yet light at the same time. A pretty pleasant coffee experience, but for $8 it is relatively pricey.

the staff forgot our order or smth but either way there was a delay for one of the dishes, but they made up for it by giving us truffle fries ($12) on the house which took us by surprise :”) we got the sriracha buffalo chicken burger and spaghetti carbonara. the chicken burger was q classic!! juicy meat and a good level of spice. the sweet potato fries had amazing texture and the salad was drenched in a very addictive sauce!! the carbonara on the other hand (the dish they forgot) was a little weird. not sure whether the texture of the egg yolk sauce was meant to be the way it was. had bits of cooked egg and the flavour was a little weird. my guess is that they rushed the dish but other than that the vibes of the place were nice :)

One of the best Pork Ribs I have tried!! Everything about it is good, its marinated well, meat is tender and comes off the bone easily. Even the sweet potato fries and salad is damn g00d. As for the spicy crabmeat cappelini, its not bad, taste is light and there's a decent amount of crabmeat. Tried the Taisho brew white coffee as well, its quite gaoo and taste premium☕

Would definitely come again!!!

Thankfully I found a cozy little cafe in the middle of bustling Somerset where there are Burpple Beyond deals. Honestly, this is a good place to go if you’re in Orchard waiting for a movie or just somewhere to meet friends for some coffee.

I decided upon ordering the pasta as mentioned in the title as it was after all a signature dish. However, I found it decent, but nothing special! It was essentially chunks of crabmeat atop of pasta laden with olive oil in chilli! Don’t get me wrong, it was alright! Just wasn’t a dish I would enjoy from the start to the end. So, fellow Burrplers, don’t bother getting it without any one-for-one promotions.

This was not bad, not very spicy so you don’t have to worry. It’s not the creamy kind of crabmeat pasta, more oil based. Crabmeat was soft and the crabmeat to pasta ratio was just nice.
