Burger with a local twist
.
A gigantic panko-coated mackerel fish otah patty, juicy tomato slices, purple cabbage slaw, caramelised onions, gooey yolked sunny side-up fried egg, all tucked between soft charcoal sesame buns and a side of shoestring fries
.
For me, the star of the dish was the spicy mackerel fish otah patty. I like that O’TAH wasn’t stingy with the patty. It had a generous thickness to it. The patty was soft and a rich mouthfeel.
.
The purple cabbage slaw provided nice crunch while oozing running yolk added a richer note to the patty and buns
.
Leaving me a lasting first impression

If you are catching flight but still need some food to fill your tummy, head over to this place for their express nasi lemak for $5.90 (add $1 for canned drink).

Although the set wasn’t anything fancy but of course express enough for a quick meal. The nasi lemak of course comes from Lee Wee & Brothers, together with their signature otah here.

Open by Lee Wee & Brothers, they have more unique Otahs here than the regular one. We tried their Scallop Otah, $2.20 and Fish Otah, $1.50 and like it that they warm up the Otah for you, so it’s served hot and ready to eat.. We were expecting like dices of scallop or bits of scallop but no, there’s 2 huge chunk of scallops in it! Worth the money and we enjoyed it! Will be back soon to try other dishes like Otah burger or Otah fries the next visit! .

Thought the Otah Fries were a pretty interesting offering at O’TAH. You get both crispy otah and French fries in this dish. The Otah Fries were freshly prepared and deep fried when we ordered, so we had a short wait for them, but they arrived hot and crispy so it was worth the wait. The French fries were lacklustre, as they weren’t very well seasoned or that crispy. However, I enjoyed the otah fries as they were warm, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. I could do with less or no French fries and just all otah fries!

The fish otah only comes in the large size, but it’s perhaps the most traditional and no-frills choice available at O’TAH. Get this if you really want to savour otah without any fancy stuff. Tender, moist and spicy enough, I consistently love the otah that Lee Wee & Brothers produce. This would be the most affordable option at their Jewel Changi kiosk, and probably my choice if I’m in the mood for otah around the area.

Another innovative otah from O’TAH which comes with chewy pieces of squid. I actually liked this the most out of the otahs that we tried. For $1.70, the size of the otah was quite reasonable (considering Jewel Changi prices). The otah was tender, moist and flavourful, with generous amounts of squid. The squid was soft and not too chewy, which I enjoyed, but this really depends on personal preference.
