Green on green to commemorate Earth Day 🌏🌱 Well, also because I simply love Matcha Latte! 😘 Pricey menu, but I love that they can adjust the sweetness level for my matcha, and they offer free wifi and electrical sockets too...

This is a grilled cheddar toast topped with Brie cheese and served with honey. The toast itself was crisp on the outside, but moist and airy inside. Despite emptying the entire cup of honey onto the toast, the toast was not sickeningly sweet; in fact, the honey blended so seamlessly with the savoury cheddar that its sweetness was hardly noticeable. Having a lighter flavour compared to Cheddar, the Brie cheese contributed little to the overall savouriness of the dish. However, it provided a different texture to the rest of the toast. I would have preferred the honey and the cheese toppings to play more significant roles in the flavour profile of the entire dish, but the cheddar toast is quite delightful on its own.

If you would like to satisfy both your cheese tart and matcha craving, without exceeding your calorie count, go for the Matcha Mini. The tart crust was of the right thickness and baked sufficiently to achieve a golden brown without causing the tart to be hard. The filling was a good balance of matcha and cream cheese. A bite into the tart showcased the matcha first, with the cream cheese slowly revealing itself. In its entirety, the tart was not too heavy and could be delightfully devoured in seconds

Think I’ll just stick to their mini tarts next time.

It's a mousse cheesecake. I'm not a fan, would prefer a slice of rich and creamy cheesecake.

This is not my no. 1 go-to place. But I enjoy Pablo for it’s open concept, free WiFi and abundance of power points, on top of its cheesy treats. Highly recommended to get a nice cheese tart paired with their coffee as a mid-day treat. I personally think the Mini tarts taste better because it’s just so crusty (plus I’m a crusty person). Coffee is average but it’s just nice to have it with the tart.

$9.50 one slice of cheese tart and a cup of tea/coffee.
very different from what i expected, the cheese is foamy, light, airy and just so fluffy, together with the crust that’s pastry-like, it gives some crunch and balance to everything.
The yellow layer of jelly on top was not too sweet nor thick, which is fine since it doesn’t affect the touch.

Overall the tart was light and not jelat as i thought it would get after eating a few bites. Great tea time snack to sit down and sip on a cup of tea. Much relax. Ambience was quiet, nice and cozy!

verdict: 8/10
damage: 8/10 (as just for a pretty small slice)

Having their mini tarts in three diff flavour - original, matcha & chocolate

Any matcha lovers here? I love matcha and I used to think only old people would like it due to its strong bitterness. Surprised to see many young fans.
Pablo's had a strong taste of green tea, and more faint in its cheese. I like the crispy crumbly tart shell. Not bad.

Freshly Baked Cheese Tart ($9.50 including tea/coffee) - Did not try this in Tokyo, so I thought it would be worth the try in since it is available in Singapore.

Unfortunately it was pretty underwhelming in the sense that I have already had better Japanese cheese tarts. That said, it is not a bad dessert. The mousse-like filling is light and could have more cheese taste, though the apricot jam adds a nice touch of sweetness. The crust is pretty firm and tough to break and I do wish that it was a bit more crumbly.

I personally prefer the minis over the large ones. Oh, save yourself some money and skip the cheese softserve (ice-cream) which sadly had no hint of cheese at all. Only saving grace was the crunchy waffle cone.

Classic Cheese Tart Smoothie ($7.80) - A thick beverage which tastes like a very light cheesecake-ish blend that's somehow stronger in taste than the tart itself.

Definitely an interesting drink that isn't too strong or pungent with cheese as the base ingredient of the smoothie, but it might be wise to share as it could get too jelat towards the end. Matcha fans should go for the rich Uji Matcha and Azuki Cream Smoothie ($8.50) with shiratama which packs a relatively strong matcha flavour.
