Used to have this dish at least 1-2x a month when we were working in office, as it’s a no frills, quick, relatively cheap neighbourhood choice. Working from home for more than 2y now and decided it’s finally time to try it again lol

For me, the teriyaki chicken is the best among their bibimbap choices, mainly due to their mayo 😅 Sadly, the sauce has become lesser, and the overall portion is also smaller *cues inflation here*. Taste is exactly how I remember it - good combination of crispy chicken and cereal flakes, shredded veggies, and mayo that wraps it all together

When translated, bibimbap literally means “mixed rice”. A staple and a widely popular dish in every Korean diner and restaurant, bibimbap stands to be a crowd favourite due to its colourful plating and a comfort food to most stemming from the simplicity of fluffy warm rice with condiments. With tens of variations and a stretch to say that this dish can be indefinitely tweaked to one’s satisfaction, one can expect to enjoy bibimbap the way they want to; as comfort food. Paik’s Bibim has been one of my go-to places for a hearty and generous serving of bibimbap, serving up healthy portions of rice with various condiments. Their Teriyaki Chicken Bibimbap ($8.50) is a deliciously light and creamy bowl of goodness topped with teriyaki chicken chunks, crisp salad leaves, shavings of seaweed and crunchy tenkasu (bits of deep-fried flour batter). The bibimbap on its own could get a little jelak (Malay for bored, used to describe a boredom in eating) after a while, but with the little crunchy balls of tenkasu and a sweet and spicy kick from their gochujang sauce (red chilli paste, sweeter than it sounds), it becomes a refreshing and healthy meal to kickstart any day.

Loving the crunchy bits featured on the bottom right corner here! It makes the naengmyeon much more textured and flavourful. :-)
Be sure to drizzle with some korean gochujang sauce for that extra kick.

Quite spicy 🥵 for me. Meatless meal. Wish the noodles is served cold. Accompanied with radish kimchi and pipping hot soup..

Portion is big. Tastes good. Practical price.
Rating: 3.5/5

This is my hmmmm third time trying this?? I like how the entire bowl looks so healthy-looking!! Yeshhh they spammed a lot of veggies and the chicken doesn't come with skin so that make the dish looks healthier!

The serving size is quite big too!! And I like the chilli sauce that they provided as it makes the entire bowl of rice even tastier!

And the price is $8.50 only!!

Healthy bibimbap with loads of vege. Not too bad for fast food style Korean food

Tasted relatively healthy and not expensive too! The gochujang is self service so you can spam as much as you like.

Teriyaki chicken bibimbap. It has this extra crunch that gave this dish an extra Oom, can't rave enough about their gochujang, Yum! Guy who opened this is apparently a popular chef from Korea. Their tokpokki is a little let down though :( #sgfood #burpple #hungrygowhere #foodporn #koreanfood #paikbibim

I had the beef bulgogi bibimpap ($8.50). The sauce, which is the most important part of a bibimpap as it determines the flavour of it, is good and spicy but too salty. The portion is pathetic. At least for the beef bibimpap, I taste solid Beef slices. For the chicken teriyaki bibimpap which my mum ate, the chicken are not even slices! They are so so small. The lady sitting next to us kept complaining about the food too. Seriously, so disappointing. I do not recommend the food at this place. Even at less than $10, the mediocre taste and way too small portion make this a dissatisfying meal and is definitely not value for money.

Relatively healthy fare, seaweed soup was delish. Add in gokuchang and mix! Beef bulgogi was quite tender and well marinated.

($8.9) Healthy, Fresh and Light. A good new concept which revolves around the most famous Korean Dish. Definitely worth a try!

Affordable, tasty and healthy. Ideal for a quick Saturday night's dinner when most people choose to join the long restaurant queues.

Would have been really perfect with a sunny-side up to top it all!

Unlike the usual bibimbap with an assortment of at least 5-6 veggies, this simple version has just chopped lettuce, cabbage, and dried seaweed alongside a generous portion of minced beef. Be sure not to add in too much bibimbap sauce (provided separately) if you want to keep this dish healthy!
