When you see them. Talk to them, and they will be glad to tell you the secrets of making the perfect toasted marshmallow. Check them out at @thewickedcreamsg #marshmallows #roasted #roast #toast #popup #capitolpiazza

Sorry, but it's true. The St. Louis ribs are better than the ribs used in Ubud, (a good mix of lean and juicy, fatty meat) the side dishes less fried but much more tastier, and the cocktails (peanut Mai tai FTW) were amazing. Thanks @sheeatsshecooks for the company and the amazing chefs for the food! Best part of all it's super affordable! #naughtynuris #balifood #ribs @naughtynurisSG

We decided to give the Palette at Capitol Piazza a try on a sluggish Sunday afternoon, and good thing we did.

Tucked in the basement level, Palette is reminiscent of the typical atas indoor hawker food courts (something like a food republic). However the selection is quite good and we were chuffed to find an Ah Koong.

Although not spectacular, the food really hit the spot in a secret guilty way only crack cocaine can match. Flavourful slightly greasy noodles with salty crunchy bits and the spiced fishball soup were the perfect hungry man's teatime snack.

We arrived grumpy, we left happy. So consider it a cheaper alternative to your weekly therapy session. Enjoy!

I ordered hokkien noodles, fried turip w xo sauce, dried fish & peanut congee and sweet & sour lychee pork. Overall, food quality is good. I must say rather going to kopitiam or expensive food court, i suggest come here. At least there is quaility and service.

Meet the seductively hot Claypot Hokkien Mee that was sizzling non stop right till my last mouthful. I have yet to try the famous version from Kim Keat so I can't compare the two. But this is a pretty awesome one. The broth was good and the seafood fresh. The accompanying chilli was also pretty shiok. If I were to be picky, I might be less than satisfied about its not so crispy fried pork lard and its lack of roast pork. Otherwise, it's pretty satisfying already. For SGD 15++, you will also get a starter, dessert (fixed items) and a drink of your choice. Pretty good deal IMO. Atmosphere at Palette is casual with a food court setting where you can order different Asian food from many stalls. However, someone will bring you to an available table and you will order via the iPad provided. Food will then be served to you. So here, you do not need to fight for seats or chope your precious seat with tissues. Just sit, relax, eat and pay.

I never liked fish cake. As a kid, I would remove all of it and dump onto someone's plate. Never liked the QQ texture of fish cake that is evident of starches, enzymes and flour. #occupationalhazard But the fish cakes here are different! There is a bite and springiness that you get from real meat. The combination w the chilli was also amazing!
