Chicken skin, broccoli, gyoza. Not cheap but a rare spot for deep-fried lok lok.
Intriguing premise, but lousy. They tasted artificial and were more custard than milk. Also small.
Dish: Traditional "Pang Pang" Chinese Crêpe
Price: $5.90
New store selling Chinese Crêpe and skewers. This Crêpe is wrapped simply with sauces, egg, cabbage, spring onion, coriander and deep-fried wanton skins. What's "special" about this snack is the textures- soft (from the skin, egg and cabbage) and crispy (from the wanton skin).
There's an amusing name for this but I forgot. Quite tasty despite having no protein. Just egg crepe, lettuce, spring onion, crackers from yusheng, some sauces and maybe other random ingredients. It basically seeks satisfaction in simplicity.
Oyster mushrooms and broccoli. Skewers here are deep fried. Broccoli was crispy like lok lok but mushrooms were tough beyond edible. Beware the very spicy chilli.
