beautifully crafted strawberry tart [$9.80] had a tart base with a cakey moist tart filling, milky custard and jam, topped with white choc crumble, chitose strawberries and a luxurious pistachio cream 💖 i absolutely loved the tart itself without all the excessive pistachio cream and jam, for it was abit extra imo. pistachio cream could have been stronger in taste and not just sweetness too.

Got 2 of Pantler’s Mille feulle desserts, the signature classic Mille feulle and the France (limited edition pear dessert) - impressed by the France because it was so refreshing and concoction is perfect. The classic one was slightly sweet but both are worth the try!

Went on a rainy Saturday evening and the queue was extremely long, we were lucky to secure a seat!

Verdict: 3.5/5

Aesthetic game SO. ON. POINT. That perfectly caramelised and flaky puff pastry, the Tahitian vanilla pastry cream of Pantler’s I adore so much, topped with daintily layered slices of tender and sweet European La France pears, then finished off with delicate crème d’Isigny. If you read between the lines, you’d realise that all the other components in this dessert, while intricate, are rather mild and unassertive — all so the star ingredient, the La France pear, can shine. The La France pear here is a seasonal fruit hailing from Higashine City of the Yamagata prefecture, known for its very subtle, mellow sorta sweetness, super smooth, creamy and juicy flesh with a melt-in-your-mouth texture that’s reminiscent of an overripe fruit (in an utterly good way). Take it from me that you really do get to taste the fruit in all it’s glory here, complemented but not overshadowed by all the other delicious components 🥰 This seasonal dessert’s only gonna be around for 2 weeks, so if you’ve read this far and I’ve managed to pique your interest — head down QUICK.

The Strawberry Tart had a delicate tart base filled with what seems to be baked pistachio pastry and strawberry jam. It was then topped with custard cream, Japanese Chitose strawberries, caramelised pistachio and soft pistachio cream. The pistachio taste was prominent but not too overpowering, and paired well with the sweet strawberries and custard cream. ⠀

Prefer the Mille-feuille as there were so many layers to it! 💯

The flawless swirl of pistachio cream, the vibrant hue of those Chitose strawberries, and that perfectly golden tart base holding it all together — can there be anything as visually stunning? That it turned out utterly delicious was the absolute the cherry on top 🥰 The pistachio cream was delicate and fragrant, paradoxically rich yet light, the nutty aroma prominent without tasting artificially in-your-face. The strawberries were really sweet too; then you’ve got that airy custard cream to tie everything together with the crisp, buttery tart base. So so gorgeous.
