Affordable Taiwanese food, not stellar but still nice enough to eat.

I don't recommend it!!!! Milk tea is diluted. The serving is small for a lady like me. Worst of all I had a stomach pain after the meal with my companion πŸ–• to all those food bloggers saying its nice.. I won't return.

Paradise Gastronomy had recently opened a new branch at GV Yishun, taking over the former premises of now-defunct Sweet Tornado Dessert.

Have always liked their version of this dish since their days at The Bencoolen; the braised pork rice coming with a good proportion of lean and fatty meat that provides both melt-in-the-mouth, juicy chunks of meat amidst some that provide a bit of bite. There was also ample meat and sauce to go around the portion of rice; savoury with a hint of the cinnamon, star anise and other spices used in the sauce β€” all that whilst not resulting in the rice being all soggy. The salted pickles gives a refreshing crunch, while the fried shallots helped to add a bit of crispness β€” provides a break from the meatiness. A more convenient location in the North to settle those Taiwanese cuisine cravings.

Set B (S$14.90)
Which consisted of
Taiwan Shredded Chicken πŸ“ Mee Sua (S$6.90/ ala carte)
A choice of side which selected
Taiwan Salted Egg Chicken πŸ“ (S$6.90/ ala carte)
A Taiwan Bubble Tea which one changed to
Taiwan Taro Milk Shake (S$3.90/ ala carte)
Available at @Paradise_Gastronomy
The serving was more enough for one. Like that the mee sua was served with such huge and plump oysters. The drink was more on the sweet side but it was thick and rich.

Braised Pork Rice($7.90)
A decent bowl with generous amount of flavourful meat, comes with an braised egg, salted pickles that taste sweet sour with a hint of spiciness and shallot for a crunch. Hope the delicious sauce can be more as I find it too little for my bowl.πŸ€”
Mango Crispy Chicken($6.90)
Smooth tender meat with crispy skin drizzle in sweet mango sauce.πŸ˜‹
Taiwan Pearl Milk Tea($2.90/$3.50)
It is lighter in taste, not too sweet and a bit diluted than most bubble tea you drank.
