It's always gathering with old frens that makes food taste better and recharge me for my uni (and internship) life! Thanks for meeting up guys! Can't wait for our next meetup! @ribbonlips @pickytricia @aberdonbie @dorachiaaa
On a side note, this ice-cream macaron is just overrated. The shell lacks crunch and the cookie and cream ice-cream needs to have a stronger flavor. Definitely not worth the $5.50. #burpple
Antidote for the sweltering heat??? It got a little tiresome to finish up what felt like a sweet bottomless pit of red bean in melted milk ice though.... Would really recommend sharing this, alternatively the strawberry yoghurt shaved ice would be easier to finish in one sitting.
But hey to some of the best Korean 찹쌀떡 (rice cakes with sweet red bean paste) Singapore? This comes close to the various rice cakes I've had in Korean. In my humble opinion I think there's a distinct difference between Korean rice cakes and (often confused with) Japanese mochi, the former has a firmer yet pleasant texture; mixed and prepared well, an awesomely chewy time you will have🙃
I guarantee you this half loaf of fluffy soft bread stuffed with decadent cheese chunks will make your $4.30 worth every cent. Together with the sweet cheese external crust, an extremely pleasant cheesy affair is promised. P.s: Taste great as it is, yet better toasted (which you can request upon payment)
Close contender to my favorite duke bakery chocolate bread. The unforgettable chocolate bread lives up to the expectation that comes with its name. (Mind the nerd in me after the mugging from my basic marketing mod this sem) This is like product image (with the naming) and actual value (extra soft bread with generously slabs of chocolatey goodness) both done right!!! YUMMY and 2 thumbs up for Paris Baguette ✨
Sadly, the intriguing and attention grabbing bread names ended at the triple cheese volcano for there was nothing exceptionally good about the bread. Decent but at 3.70$ I'll pass the next time.
Decided to settle for brunch at Paris Baguette the other day and give their brunch a try. This cost me $15. Their range of brunch involved a lot of eggs so if you're someone who doesn't have that, then nope. I ordered this Madame croquette (?) I kinda forget the exact name but anyway, it was filled with cheese and eggs, in between was ham! It was a fresh new taste at first until it became too much and I couldn't finish it. Nonetheless, the cheese and egg combo is always a favorite. Give it a try but make sure you share it with someone
$4.50 for that rock like bread which had a very hard sweet crust but soft interior with a hint of mocha and raisins here and there
This is the signature Royal Pudding, available in 4 delicious flavors. Please read my review at www.hungryghost.sg
$14, 10 slices in a box. Pretty packaging, the sponge cake was soft and sweet as it should be, but can't really taste the green tea.
4.8$ for this loaf of sweet chestnut with sweet nut crumbles atop bread!!! Guaranteed chestnut taste with the diced chestnuts hidden inside (as seen in picture) DAEBAK
Was drawn to it with its similar name to my favorite duke bakery version (@3.3$). At $3.2 this is actually a ham and cheese bread with a sweet-crumbled top crust 😍 perfect for a quick tea!
Pretty food at 15$ the colorful fruits and ice cream made this so enjoyable to look at!!! Taste not lacking too thankfully hehe though the pancakes were on the dry side and not exactly thick fluffy and golden brown they actually tasted not too bad and went well w the toppings!
$15 and $14 respectively both were good! We liked the cheese used for the croque Madame lighter than Italian cheese there was like(too much thou) cream cheese in between the yummy bread layers that made it a heavy meal! Dad thought at 14$ egg bens was really good
My mum brought it back so I don't really know much about the details
Hm~ but the cake was tasty. Not too sweet and had a generous amount of cream, custard and strawberries in between the crepe layers!
I apologize for the half eaten cake 😔 it was just too tempting, I had to take a bite first! 😋
Shaped in a cup alike, this lightly honeyed soft bread texture is your second option to a plain unadulterated loaf. $3.10ea.
It's so pillowy and soft. The white cylinder loaf comes with a hint of sweetness, mirroring the skill of a Japanese baker. The Korean confectionery chain is mushrooming in the neighborhood.. $6.00ea
Indeed, what a good substitute for a caffeine fix! Sweet sugary crust atop the fluffy coffee bun. But the range at TM is rather narrow.. $2.90ea
The worst I've had at PB so far I think! The patty of shrimp with mango croquette was nothing fantastic - pales in comparison with the bulgoggi burger.
