TONY SOPRANO ($22) + TATER TOTS & DRINK ($5)

Maybe because I grew up eating Subway, I found this quite overpriced.

Would sing praises for the super creamy burrata but the overly salty prosciutto & rock-hard bread (literally got tired of cutting it💀) made me wonder if my wallet-friendly Sub would satisfy just as much.

PBJ-STUFFED FRENCH TOAST ($16)

I really liked the almond hazelnut butter used in place of standard pb! Think ferrero rocher in liquid form🤩

Only wished there was more spread, esp the jam, to go with the brûléed brioche, which could have been more eggy coz you know frEnch tOAst

Hot Fried Chicken ($16)
Not the fluffiest of buns but everything else was really good! From the thick slab of tender chicken thigh🍗 to the chili aioli & slaw, I enjoyed every mouthful!

As a self-proclaimed Reuben connoisseur, this pastrami Reuben was done just right. I’ve had so many in my lifetime and PBD had just the right ratio of pastrami, coleslaw, cheese, mustard, and rye.

The brisket pastrami was smoked in such a way that I thought I had tasted bacon, and who doesn’t love their bacon? Great choice for a meal if I’m ever craving a hearty American sandwich.

PBD’s Mushreuben’s essentially a beautiful golden sourdough sandwich of roasted maitake mushrooms, house sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and Russian dressing. Needless to say, as with every of PBD’s creations, this was tasty af — though not quiiiiite as enjoyable as their other sandwiches. The mushrooms, though wonderfully meaty and earthy, were a touch too peppery for me. Not in a bad way; simply a little unfamiliar to me. Perhaps it’s a result of the whole sandwich was unevenly salted, so instead of getting a good balance of seasoning we had bites that were insanely peppery and others that were just full-on drowning in salt. I’d take this as a one-off given their track record of fab sandwiches, though I’d prolly stick to a meatier option next time 😉

There are sandwiches, and then there are Park Bench Deli's sandwiches — generously filled, cleverly put together and packed with punchy flavours. Choose from a menu of 10 sandwiches — but really, whatever you pick is probably going to be good. Burppler Rachael Lim says the Mushreuben ($18), which uses chewy sourdough bread, was "refreshing and light in terms of palate thanks to the pickles and mushroom." She also likes the Chicken Katsu ($14), which "is so well seasoned and I haven't had such a unique texture of chicken anywhere else."
