Wanted to order the pastrami sandwich but they didn’t had it so we got the hot honey chicken burger & roast beef sandwich together with tater tots as sides!

Wasn’t a huge fan of the beef sandwich due to the strong beefy taste but chicken was well marinated and tender! We also love how generous their portion was 👍🏻

The piece de resistance of Park Bench Deli is none other than their Pastrami Reuben. A towering sandwich of house-smoked pastrami, sauerkraut, swiss cheese and Russian dressing all packed between toasted sourdough bread.

This is all you could ever want for a meaty sandwich, with delicious smoky and savoury notes that paired well with a hint of sourness from the sauerkraut. The toasted sourdough added the perfect bite for a mix of textures and if you ever so please, there's a dill pickle on the side as well. No fries or added sides are needed it - I was pretty amazed that this single sandwich could fill my stomach up leaving just a little room for dessert [Yes that lone bombolini at the back.]

I do like PBD's deli vibes and concept, though the price reflects more of a high end cafe if anything. Oh well, good things come at a price don't they?

If you can resist this, well then off with your head. This Crème Brûlée Bomboloni ($8) by PBD is, beyond a doubt, the most memorable doughnut I’ve had this year. As a crème brûlée dessert, it’s got that hard, burnt sugar crust that cracks audibly when you bite (or tear in my case) into it. The custard filling’s smooth, creamy and rich, but not overly heavy or thick so it’s very light on the palate. As a bomboloni, it boasted the quintessential fluffy and buttery dough and a GENEROUS amount of filling. I was a little sad to find the custard pooling into the box, but the thing is there’s sooo much of it you can just dip and dunk the doughnut as you eat along. And I’m proud to share that there was zero wastage — sustainable dining at its finest 🙃 What I found really interesting, is that as the sugar’s being torched and caramelised on the surface some of it melts into the doughnut as well; so when eating the doughnut it tasted extra moist and shiok while still retaining its fluff, structure, and crumb. Also noteworthy is how neither the dough nor the custard was too sweet, so as saccharine as this sounds it’s actually just perfect.

I felt that the custard was a little too cold so it’s definitely stiffer and less oozy compared to my previous takeaway; and perhaps cause it’s freshly piped so the custard didn’t quite have the time to nestle into the dough and work some magic, so I did find the doughnut drier. Not that it was bad; it was still fluffy and tender, but wasn’t quite as moist and shiok as before. Still a fabulous bomboloni nonetheless, I may just let it sit longer before tucking in the next time 😉

Park Bench Deli has been on my list of places to try for forever. A household name for Artisan deli sandwiches, they have recently renovated with a mix of bright blue hues and wood for their aesthetic while keeping the vibes of an American deli - which I adored.

I finally made a point to head down and try their famed sandwiches, including the well-known Pastrami Reuben. These sandwiches definitely pack a punch and even filled my empty stomach right up with just one - the lack of sides won't be missed. I did eye their Tater Tots as well but at $8 a pop, my wallet said no thank you. Prices do run a bit high but hey, it's the quality you pay for ain't it.

Not to mention, Park Bench have also opened a new concept called Onda by PBD which specializes in Cuban flavours and hot dogs - ah shucks, another one to add to my list.
