I wasn't impressed with the sandwich-makers' recently-launched $10 burger for weekday dinners, considering it's a challenger to Meatsmith's legendary Tuesday $10 cheeseburger. I only have lofty expectations for PBD, but this ๐—ณ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—ฏ๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ด๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ($10) truly made me relate to the disappointment my parents feel towards me.

First, the bun was soggy and squished up (ร  la Burger King) which is a fatal flaw for any burger. The patty was well grilled but I found them too heavy-handed with flavours, which led to a jarringly salty and peppery profile. Alas, little alleviation was available from the onions' sharpness as it was weirdly scant.

Overall, the flavours felt tedious even for a small-ish burger. Maybe it's just not my thing or an off-day since I've seen good reviews, so try it out yourself. I'm personally not gonna return for it, especially when their sandwiches are better and more filling for a few more bucks. This just ain't it, doc.

Unfortunately this was our least favourite out of the 3 sammies we had, it just wasnโ€™t as flavourful as the other 2 but still a decent sammie nonetheless. The tater tots was a add-on side btw, it doesnโ€™t come with the sandwich by default. Canโ€™t wait to go back and try the other items on their menu!

OMG FAVE SANDWICH HERE!!! ๐Ÿ’ฏ Personally Iโ€™m a hugeee fan of mushroom + cheese and they did it really well here! Plus I really loveeee the way they toasted their bread. I believe they spread some stuff on the toast too as there was a hint of sweetness to it too

But I was wrong! Tucked in between a buttery toasted potato bun, the spicy fried chicken thigh combines with tex mex slaws, Chili mayo, and hot honey for a glorious marriage of flavours and textures.

For a full meal, add-on $5 for options like Tater Tots and a drink.

Imagine a non-spicy KFC Zinger burger patty with similar crispy batter - except it's more juicy and bigger. It can get a bit jelak after awhile but fried chicky lovers would definitely love it. ๐Ÿ”โค๏ธ

I can't believe it's not meat! Impossibru! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

We checked out Park Bench Deli to try out the Impossible Patty Melt ($22) - Impossible patty with griddled onions, cheddar, dill pickles with special sauce in between slices of rye bread.

The verdict? The resemblance of the patty in terms of looks and texture to real beef is uncanny! If you didn't tell me it's not beef, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. It has the pinkness in the middle, and the chew and bite really resemble the real deal!

The only giveaway is the lack of beefy taste at the end. But otherwise, I actually don't mind it at all. The sandwich itself is really yummy - gooey cheese with nice crusty warm bread. Yummy!
