Perfect balance of mascarpone cheese, coffee and cocoa flavour with a tinge of wine. A very dainty sweetness that is perfect for your post-meal dessert. Light and fluffy textured, this tiramisu melts in your mouth with every bite. What a delight.

Pastaria Abate serves up a plethora of authentic home style Italian pastas and pizzas in a cozy ambience, matching the ambience of a little italian home. You will be spoilt for choice with the different pasta options - 15 in total, and their pairing with your choice of sauce - red, white & wine sauce, or cream sauce.

Tagliatelle in traditional beef stew sauce. Tagliatelle was of just the right texture, complemented perfectly with the red stew sauce that was flavourful and tangy at the same time. Cooked al dente, you can feel the bounce of the homemade pasta with every chew. Beef chunks were soft and tender, with portion being generous enough to have a bite of chunky meat with every mouthful of pasta.

What I loved most about Pastaria Abate is how the authentic food, unpretentious vibes, and affordability are in complete accordance with one another. Authentic Italian food in just the right kind of ambience, and yet, I find myself paying for what is worth. Nothing too exorbitant that would burn a hole in my pocket. I have finally found where to get my Italian pasta fix.

No cream. Just lots of cheese and egg.

Just by reading the menu, you know that this restaurant knows their way around authentic Italian food, whilst pandering to the Singaporean palate. Carbonara Roma is original Roman styled carbonara that derives it’s creamy texture outlet from egg and Parmigiano-Reggiano and/or Pecorino Romano. Pastaria Abate really does the authentic carbonara justice. The combination of cheese and egg was nothing too overwhelming - striking a fine balance between light and creamy. The guanciale however, was a bit on the blander side, and did not add much flavour to the pasta. Nonetheless, the star of the dish was just the authentic cheesy-creamy texture of the sauce, together with the very generous portion of handmade al dente spaghetti that bounced with every bite. Would come back here for my carbonara fix.

For the classic Aglio Olio with Prawns ($18.80), we chose spaghetti and the al-dente spaghetti is coated in olive oil and crispy garlic bits and served with succulent pan-fried prawns. This is so savoury, fragrant and satisfying.

Porcini & White Truffles ($18.80) features fresh tagliatelle pasta tossed in white truffle sauce with Italian porcini mushrooms. The handmade egg pasta is tender but not mushy, and it is a wonderful match with the delicious truffle sauce that is infused with the aroma of the mushrooms. I love how the sauce is packed with flavours without being overpowering.

Truffle Porcini Linguine, this is a dish that will be a hit among truffle fans. The cream based sauce goes well and coats the pasta well. The fried Portobello mushroom is a must order and the aroma of the earthy notes keeps me wanting for more. πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»
