Is this your dream come true?

Similar to the Japanese tempura, twi gim refers to batter-dipped deep-fried items like vegetables, meats and seafood.
This jjigae (stew) features different types of twi gim such as seafood (prawns and mussels), meat (chicken sausage), vegetables (shiitake mushroom), and rice cake.

Of course, it wouldn’t be complete without the ramyeon.

The stew is infused with tteokbokki soup base for an intense flavour.

As the name of the shop goes, Patbingsoo is certainly the place to go to for a good bowl of BINGSOO! With a wide range from both the PAT (means red beans in Korean) & the Bingsoo series (for those who are not a fan of red beans), u will be utterly spoilt for choice! 🀩🀩🀩
.
Bearing a striking resemblance to the actual Bibimbab, my favourite was the BIBIM PATBINGSOO ($12.90)! πŸ’• First, I was wow-ed by the presentation, 2nd thrilled by the hands-on smashing & mixing of ingredients (like u would when eating bibimbab) & lastly, impressed by the taste! πŸ‘πŸ»
.
Consisting of fruits (strawberry, kiwi), jelly, red bean, nata de coco, vanilla ice cream & strawberry sauce, I would coin this the Korean version of ice kachang! πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹ If u’re a fan of strawberry πŸ“, this would be your thing as it is definitely the most prominent taste in this bowl of goodness!
.
If u’re looking for a refreshing treat, do not miss out on their WATERMELON PATBINGSOO ($15.90)! πŸ‰Im definitely awarding brownie points for the excellent skills & effort spent in craving out the perfect sphere out of a whole watermelon. Featuring juicy watermelon with watermelon balls, matcha ice cream, red bean, corn flakes, nata de coco, kiwi fruit & orange jelly, this will surely get u digging for all the goodies in the watermelon bowl! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»
.
GURO BINGSOO ($12.90) is one of those best-sellers & it is not difficult to see why. 😍 Featuring an abundance of sweet & soft cubes of fresh mango with a scoop of vanilla ice cream & mango cheese sauce, this classic bowl of shaved ice is simply irresistible! 🀀
.
Got a thing for alcohol? Go for the Tiramisu family which has RUM infused! 😎 Tried the Incheon Bingsoo ($11.90), which comprises tiramisu coffeeβ˜•, ladyfingers soaked in rum & coffee, crunchy cornflakes, dusted with cocoa powder & topped with a scoop of coffee ice cream. Definitely for the grown-ups who appreciates the mild bitterness among the sweets. πŸ‘ŒπŸ» Fans of whipped cream will enjoy this, though I’d very much wished they made a denser & savoury layer with mascarpone cheese!
.
Be sure to grab one of these bingsoo to end off your meal on a sweet note! βœ”

😍😍😍

Sure, $38.90 might initially sound a bit steep for a plate of ribs but after experiencing the beauty of these ROLLING CHEESE PORK RIBS πŸ’• ($38.90) from Patbingsoo for myself, I must say that this is worth the indulgence! πŸ’―
.
Featuring an impressive tower of pork ribs on a beautiful bed of cheddar & mozzarella cheese 🀀🀀🀀, as well as chunky golden-brown fries, the star of the show is definitely the ribs themselves. 🌟 So good that I could even have them on their own! ❀❀❀ Judging from the humongous size of the ribs, I admit that I was apprehensive on the texture of the ribs but my worries were definitely uncalled for.
.
Despite being extremely meaty, the ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender! βœ” I wanted to savour this robust-tasting treat slowly but any resistance was futile. With the right amount of firmness & succulence, this ribs were well-marinated & coated with a luscious coat of sweet & spicy sauce that was got me whopping up the meat in no time. πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹ The melted cheese leveled it up by adding some creamy & savoury flavours.
.
Want to try something different in every bite? You can pair the ribs with the sweet pineapple cubes for a refreshing change, dip them in the milky corn, or coat them with some fragrant garlic mayo! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ» Chips in melted cheese dip is always good!
.
For those who cannot take spice, u’re not forgotten! There is also a non-spicy version that u can enjoy! 😎 This was hands down my FAVOURITE item from Patbingsoo so do give it a try! U will not regret it! πŸ˜‰

A spin-off from the classic Bibimbab, this hot stone bowl ($8.90) from Patbingsoo comprises warm steamed rice with juicy pork belly / beef / popcorn chicken, kimchi, eggroll with seaweed, lettuce & carrots, topped with strips of dried laver & sesame & served with gochuchang sauce. 🀀🀀🀀 I really like how all the elements come together harmoniously to form a robust-tasting mixed rice! πŸ’•
.
Switching up the spinach, beansprouts & a sunny-side up for some skillfully-prepared eggrolls, I’m glad the lettuce & carrots gave the rice the nice crunch that I always look forward to in my Bibimbab. πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹ The soft white rice perfectly absorbed the gochuchang sauce, which presented a good spicy kick amidst the sweet-savoury tones. πŸ‘πŸ»
.
Wished for the meats to be more tender (probably a little tougher as the sweet sauce caramelised while I couldn’t help but snap away with my HP 🀣) but I must say that they were extremely well-marinated! Loved the sweet flavours which complemented the spicy gochuchang really well. βœ”
.
Overall, the taste profile & layering textures resonated very well with me. Definitely something I would order on my next visit - probably gonna try the Bibimbab for more veggie intake! πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š

.
You might have read about how my mum prepares those lettuce wraps where I would eat with meats with gochuchang sauce & kimchi, the Korean way. I was stoked to find that Patbingsoo offers that too! ✌🏻
.
Patbingsoo Bulgogi Set ($11.90) is a relatively new addition on their menu that will make sure u get your fair share of vegetables in your diet! πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š Challenge yourself to a one-mouth attempt after wrapping that crisp lettuce with crunchy kimchi, rice ball with dried laver & well-marinated pork/beef slices! Oh how I love such wraps! πŸ’•
.
One other side that is worth your calories would be the CHICKEN SKIN ($7.90)! 😍😍😍 Featuring crispy chicken skin with savoury fries, drizzled with a generous amount of luscious nacho cheese sauce, this is bound to keep you wanting more! 🀀 Liked that the chicken skin was fried to the perfect crisp & were not overly oily at all! It was as addictive as eating fish skin crisps, with the sweet & creamy nacho cheese sauce well complementing the lightly-salted chicken skin & chunky fries below. πŸ‘πŸ»
.
FRIED SAMGYEOBSAL ($7.90) will be the delight of the pork lovers out there! 🌟 Featuring thinly sliced pork belly that are lightly battered & deep fried to golden brown, these perfectly crispy meats are simply heavenly when eaten hot! Pair it with their mustard sauce which does a brilliant job in cutting the heaviness of the meats with its sweet-tangy-spicy taste profile, making the dish an even more palatable one. I couldn’t help but reach for a 2nd slice! πŸ˜‹
.
There are many other quick bites such as Korean Chicken Wings (oh I love the honey garlic glaze), Popcorn Chicken, Tteokkochi etc., which are bound to make your wait for the main courses an easy one. πŸ˜‰

With 4 outlets across our little red dot, Patbingsoo is a one-stop solution to satisfy your cravings for Korean food! ✌🏻 Serving an assortment of Korean stews, mains, street food & ice desserts, this casual dining house will leave your belly satisfied! πŸ˜‹ Love the modern & chic dΓ©cor & especially the Korean pop songs that were playing in the background - I was happily humming away! 🎢
.
Budae Jjigae (Pork/Beef) ($35.90) is something you would enjoy not just on a rainy day but every day! πŸ’• To me, this is essentially hotpot gone Korean style!
.
This β€˜hotpot party’ features a plethora of ingredients such as savoury sausages & spam (luncheon meat), tender pork/beef slices, springy fish cake, QQ mochi-like rice cakes, tangy baked beans, earthy mushrooms, smooth tofu, silky glass noodles, crunchy kimchi, ramyeon, an egg, fresh vegetables (spinach, leek etc.). 😍😍😍 Most importantly, there is the SECRET to their good soup base – a special spicy sauce cube specially imported from Korea! πŸ‘πŸ»
.
Patience is key when it comes to eating army stew - u should be waiting till the pork broth to get slightly bubbly before mixing down the sauce cube, carefully pouring the spicy soup over the ingredients & ensure even distribution around the pot. βœ” Looks like I’ve always been eating it the wrong way – just mixing everything together haphazardly once the pot is presented to me! But well, I personally think that there is no right or wrong way – it’s a right way so long as u enjoy it! πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰
.
As much as this is already an enjoyable treat, are u looking for an explosion of flavours? Boost your army stew up with a portion of CHEESE ($3.90)! 🌟 Not only does the mix of cheddar & mozzarella add a thicker & creamier texture, it also shifts the overall taste profile from slightly sourish towards the savoury side, making the soup way richer & robust in flavours. 🀀🀀🀀 Tip: add the cheese when u’re about half done so that u can drink up all the soup without feeling too β€˜jelak’ at the end! 😎
.
Certainly a potful of goodies to share with loved ones! 🀩
