🤔: Had a distinct wokhei taste to it and was overall pretty tasty. The vegetable itself was crunchy and the sauce was thick and savoury, great when paired with rice. A great addition to a meal there, especially if you wanna get something ‘healthier’.

Deep Fried Garlic Pork - the aroma of this dish, which had been fried with an abundance of garlic, was just captivating. Tender and juicy meat, crisp skin, and fragrant garlic bits — what’s not to love?

Trust me when i say this is a must order dish here at Penguin’s Kitchen. The moment the dish arrived on the table, there was a very fragrant aroma, and the taste was even better. Glistening thick pork strips fried together with full garlic cloves; all of these came together to form a harmony of flavour that was so delightful we couldn’t resist ordering one more plate.

Found a Thai style wanton mee that rivals Soi 19 here at Penguin’s Kitchen. The noodles were so al-dente, while the huge wantons filled with generous amount of shrimp and also the crispy & tender roast pork.

🤔: First time trying this and although it was not bad, I’m not entirely sure I would order it again. Am a super big fan of century egg so that was that, but pickled ginger is a no for me. There’s this liquid or sauce that the eggs are sitting on, and it is slightly sour, but I can’t really put my finger on the taste. Pairing the century egg with the coriander and the chilli was quite nice, refreshing even as the egg has been sitting in the sour-ish sauce and is not hot, room temperature maybe. You can give it a try if you like century eggs, otherwise you might wanna give this a miss!

🤔: Second time having this dish and my bad impression of it immediately disappeared. The first time I had it, it was dry and oily and so so so tough to chew. This time round, it was fried to perfection, crispy on the outside and yet not too dry. The garlic in the dish were really well fried too and gave off an aromatic smell. Definitely understand why this dish is a must-get!
