Grilled Chicken Chop.

Classified this under Asian favs cause this is clearly the way we like our hawker western food done. Peter Pan’s not the most fabulous in terms of the best sauce or most tender chicken but it does a fair job and at 6 bucks, it does bring a great deal of satisfaction. I personally love it cause fries are traded for wedges, that’s the winning ticket for me.

While the rest of my dining fellows weren't quite impressed with Peter Pan's pork chop ($6), I rather enjoyed it. Or perhaps it's a sign that I'm never gonna grow up.

Two tender pork fillets that don't have the distinctive hallmarks of excessive use of tenderizer are bathed in a thick, sticky brown sauce that is more tomato than brown, and is somewhat reminiscent of a meatloaf gravy. The savory sauce is sweet and salty in just the right amounts, and it flavors the sufficiently seasoned pork chops just right.

The coleslaw and baked beans are pretty much standard issue, on par with any western food stall you can find in sunny Singapore. However, the bog standard French fries are replaced by those wondrous wedges which are simply sublime. Crunchy on the outside, and delightfully moist, dense and fluffy on the inside, these wedges were gone in sixty seconds just like Nic Cage.

It's not the most mindblowingly delicious pork chop in Singapore, but I'll never say never to a tasty trip to Peter Pan.

We like this stall because the 'uncle and aunty' who manages the stall gives you big portions and little touches like lining aluminum foil in the styrofoam box to keep it warm. Providing 3 sides instead of 2.

The chicken cutlet ($6) was served with a large serving of piping hot wedges with coleslaw and baked beans. The coleslaw was fresh and was still cold unlike many places which serve it lukewarm. The tomato sauce on top of the chicken was a tad bit tasteless but none the less was a great accompaniment to the chicken cutlet.

It's just 5 bucks... One can enjoy a big slab of tender chicken thigh, coleslaw, baked beans and fries (I replaced it with an egg). It's really delicious for a food centre standard. Yummy.
