Margehrita. Supposed to come with basil LEAVES but they gave stingy cuts of basil bits. Worse is it was a pre-cooked pizza and just heated up. Freshly baked pizza the cheese is stringy when you pull it. Reheated pizza the cheese is clunky. Also the crust was hot but part of the tomato paste was cold. Another sign of reheating pizza. WHY? This is Pete’s Place in Grand Hyatt hotel. If no respect for Italian food then why open in a hotel? Better to buy frozen pizza and reheat at home.

Prosciutto pizza was not bad, though I wish there were more parma ham slices. The crust was also not super crispy and the dough was a bit on the thick side for me. You can help yourself to additional shaved parmesan from the salad bar counter.

Lasagna was very disappointing... Somehow it wasn’t served hot, the pasta sheets were way too thick and the ratio of meat to pasta was just too low. I could only taste the tartness of the tomato sauce and basically, the cheese taste was non-existent. Would not order this again sadly.

Order a main before 7pm to get one round of salad bar!!! I love salad bars simply because I love vegetables and I love trying a little bit of everything on display. While this salad bar’s variety wasn’t too extensive, each item was done well (perfectly blanched broccoli, sautéed mushrooms!!) and the dressings and toppings (balsamic vinaigrette, freshly shaved parmesan cheese, assorted nuts) were wonderful.

It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas ....

Apples and cinnamon and buttery crumbs ....
One of my favourite desserts from Pete’s Place.

Moist and crumbly and crusty at the same time.

These are the best molten deep dark chocolate cakes I have eaten.

Rich dark chocolate with a velvety smooth cake texture .

No flowy centre but more like a rich chocolatey paste like centre which works very well for me .

Best part of all ?

It’s not too sweet at all - so for all of you dark chocolate lovers.

I’ve been coming here for years and I enjoy myself each time. Located in the basement of Grand Hyatt, its secretive charm makes it even more cosy. It’s something about the dark setting, bistro style table cloths and warm hospitality that I just know I’m going to have a good time the moment I walk through the doors.

I always go for Pasta as I’m a sucker for pasta 🤷🏻‍♀️ what I like is that they do have a salad bar as well which serves pretty decent stuff and the bread bar is complimentary with any order. My favorite spreads are the garlic pesto and ripen tomatoes!

I feel it’s worth it if you go for the Set Menu that comes with any starter, any main and any dessert. As I usually go for the Spaghetti Cioppino that comes with half main lobster ($44) the set is worth it! It’s divine by the way.

Would definitely recommend anyone who wants a good Italian meal in town.
