Hong Kong 🇭🇰 is finally opening its doors but ran out of ALs? We've got you covered! Satisfy your cha chaan teng cravings right here at @pifood.sg, which is helmed by ex-Lei Garden (1 Michelin Star) Chef!😄

Just a short walk from Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station, @pifood.sg is a perfect place for family dinners as it offers an extensive range of authentic HK cuisines from roasted meats and dimsum to classic Cantonese soups and baked rice.🤤

Just the 2 of us, here's what we feast on…
👉Roselle with Peach Gum
👉Liquorice Siraitia with Chia Seed
👉Stir-fried Vermicelli with Homemade XO Sauce
👉Peking Duck
👉Sea Grouper Steamed with Black Bean Sauce
👉Double-boiled Fish Maw & Shark Cartilage Soup
👉Stir-fried Assorted Vegetables & Mushroom
👉Marinated Cold Jellyfish Head with Shallot Oil
👉Red Bean Ice Kacang

I may be extremely biased but please do yourself a favour and order the peking duck!! Create your perfect wrap with a piece of crispy duck skin, a dollop of sweet and savoury sauce, cucumbers, scallions and pop it into your mouth for what I think is pure bliss!😌

P.S. @pifood.sg also has a toy train running on the train tracks suspended from their ceiling. Parents, that should be enough of a distraction for your kids for you to enjoy a peaceful dinner.😂

The extensive menu serves a variety of classic Hong Kong fare from your Cantonese roast to stir fry dishes. The Peking Duck ($78) came with the crispy duck skin that you wrap with the other accompanying ingredients in the egg crepe while the meat is used to braised with rice vermicelli and preserved vegetables.

Other dishes that we have tried include the Marinated Cold Jellyfish Head with Shallot Oil ($16) that brings a tang from the black vinegar, Double-boiled Fish Maw and Shark Cartilage Soup ($40) that is packed with collagen goodness and Whole Fish prepared 2 ways, fillet is sautéed and fish bone is wok fried.

For carb lovers, their 雪菜肉丝米粉 Rice Vermicelli stir-fried with preserved vegetables & duck meat 🦆 makes the perfect comfort food! It is rather light-tasting & isn't oily so you can always go for more! 🤤

I love my greens 💚 so their 海味什菜煲 Claypot Mixed Vegetables with dried scallops, dried shrimps 🦐 & mushrooms 🍄 was good for me! Quite light-tasting and healthy dish, will be perfect with rice.

If you are fan of seafood, go for their 凉瓜豆鼓焖龙虎癍 Sea Grouper ($10/100g) 🐟 braised with bittergourd & black beans! The fish was fresh with a soft texture. Pretty nice, even though I wished the flavours can be stronger as it is not as flavourful/salty as I thought it would be.

Another of my favourite was their 鲨鱼骨炖花胶汤 Double-boiled Fish Maw and Shark Cartilage Soup ($40) 🥣! Super rich & creamy without feeling heavy, this soup boasting of essence in every drop really warms the belly & the heart! ✨️
