We added the plum porridge (+$1), in addition to the set. But I think the plum rice was the clear winner!! 👍👍 separately, the braised pork belly was soft and tender! Will highly recommend this healthy rice set to those who are in the Bedok area! #BurppleMajulahMakan

In house made chill and perfectly braised pork belly was the foundation of this tasty hawker stall. The bits of plum cut the fatty braised pork and improved on the overall visual. If you pass by this stall, please go and try! No regret.

The Umeboshi rice - topped with house-made Furikake that contains cereal, curry leaves, dried shrimps, and seaweed.

So unlike of me to be eating carbs but plum aids in digestion, plus free flow soup is always the win.

Not the standard fare that you can find in any hawker centre. Tried the braised pork belly and loved it. The fat literally melted in my mouth. Tasted best with the umeboshi rice. Good value @ $4 for a set. Soup is refillable.

From Plum & Rice at the Bedok 216 Market & Food Centre, which seems to be one of the new tenants in the food centre. Serving both Umeboshi rice and porridge, Set A is the Umeboshi Rice with the same side dishes as seen in Set B here; both sets are priced at $4.

Perhaps it was just my preferences but I found the Umeboshi pretty sour (I actually am not particularly fond of sour flavours at all) though it's bright, tangy flavour could be refreshing for some. Braised meat that came alongside felt relatively on the healthy side of things — lean meat with light braised flavours while coming with pickles and a pretty appetising soup on the side. Worth trying if in the area.
