Sure it looks cute. But the food is not up to standard, the service is pretty slow and full of mistakes too. Really overpriced for dried up turmeric rice too. And they served us the pancakes (desserts) first then the rice? Who eats desserts first before the main? Not worth my 45mins queue, not worth my $101 bill. Never going back ever again.

Like any gimmicky cafe, the food here is average at best. The pancakes tasted too flour-ish and was only saved by the accompanying maple syrup. The butter cookie that came with it was too buttery and the monaka that served as Pikachu's ears had softened too much already.

Rule of thumb, if it has a face on it, don't eat it. This Pikachu looked too cute to eat, and it was quite true as it didn't taste amazing. You're paying for the novelty and photos, not the flavour here!

In collaboration with Everything With Fries, the highly anticipated Pokémon Cafe has finally arrived on our shores. With the animated series' mascot Pikachu and other iconic characters featured widely in all their food and decor, every corner of the cafe at Bugis Junction screams cute! For take-home memorabilia, order the Pikachu Smiling Rice Omelette ($25) or the Pikachu's Sweeeeeet Pancake ($20) — you get to keep the mug afterwards! Try the oozetastic Pokéball Cream Puff ($5.90 each or four for $20, available for takeaway) while you're there. Be prepared for a long wait among fellow fans though.
Avg price: $30 per person without drinks

This Pika pasta is a combination of sweet and salty that left my tastebuds...very confused. Pokemon Cafe is for kids through ma through, from the taste to the presentation. Although no one will judge you if you're an adult going through second childhood. 🙃 Full review at http://ow.ly/vihW300NdEh

While the only saving grace is the late appearance of Pikachu after a late night unwinding in Zouk ! 😂
