A nice glasshouse cafe situated @ MAHSA University serving good brunch. Nothing to shout about the drinks and cakes though!
Baked lamb meatballs, crispy beef bacon and sausage chunks in tomato puree topped with parmesan. This reminds me of egg shakshouka. The ingredients make the taste slightly more unique and the layer of egg is thicker than the egg shakshouka.
This dish took almost 30mins to come. Would like it if the time taken to bake this is mentioned in the menu or informed verbally during order. It isn’t nice when you’re waiting for your food, wondering whether they’ve forgotten about it, while seeing your friends almost finishing their food.
This is RM25.
This drink is the same as Australian coffee. Hazelnut latte with vanilla ice-cream. I ordered it without the ice-cream. It was just ok. Nothing special. Maybe the ice-cream would have made it better?
This is RM12.
Good blend of cinnamon and honey. You can choose whether you want to add an espresso and whether you want soy milk or normal milk. A mild taste of the coffee.
This is RM15 for hot and RM16 for cold.
I think the directions to this cafe can be a bit better. Doesn’t hurt to have some signages to show the way.
I’m not impressed with the service. I tried to pay with Grabpay (since this place accepts it) but failed numerous attempts. It was not due to lack of mobile coverage as I successfully top up. A friend of mine tried to use her Grab app instead and it failed as well. The cashier just looked at us blankly, waiting for us to make payment without offering to check whether there was an issue with their device. She could have at least restarted her device. No smile was offered during the entire order taking either.
Now on to the food. The salmon came with broccoli & cauliflower hash, sauted seasonal vegetables with garlic butter sauce. The salmon was nicely cooked. Taste wise it was good.
Honestly, even though the food was good, the service make me a bit reluctant to come back a second time. Maybe just my luck.
This is RM35.
The usual basic nasi lemak with kangkung, ayam berempah, beef rendang and fried egg instead of boiled egg. The difference between this and their Nasi Lemak Platter is that this comes with both beef and chicken.
The beef rendang wasn’t as flavourful. The chicken was ok.
This is RM25.
