This is usually our reliable spot for mlxg, but it came very bland. I joked that maybe this was localised, given mlxg is usually overly salty. We picked pork belly, fish, luncheon meat, oyster mushrooms, milk cabbage, cabbage, garlic sprouts, onion, youtiao and yam noodle. Shout out to the delicious youtiao and onion. Idm ordering just those with noodle.
Opened till 4am daily.
Wan Xing MXG is located near the famous teochew porridge that also opens till late.
Perfect late night, early morning makan stretch for those nocturnal humans.
Wan xing MXG is rather expensive though, but the taste is really good, there was not too much peppercorn for medium spicy. It was also rather fragrant with adequate amount of garlic.
I haven't been back in 2.5 years at a place so near. It didn't disappoint. Still one of the best. We didn't feel we ordered a lot but it's a large serving. The mutton was kinda gamey so bonus points there. Youtiao damn shiok. The spring onion disappeared so a bit waste money.
Went to Wan Xing Mala two weeks ago and ordered a variety of veg, mushroom, meats and maggie!😇 Total was $50 for 4 pax and id reco to get the youtiao😍
Overall ratings 9/10! One of the better mala stores in SG and would definitely be back hehe😁
Finally tried the famous kovan mala and would say im not disappointed!!😇 Mala there is decent with a wide selection and they even have fried youtiaos which is something I never had together with mala before😍💯 I cant really recall the price but I think it was decently priced at below $15/pax depending on how much you order and what ingredients u take!
Ratings would be an 8/10 because its not per say very unique nor different from other mala stores but the youtiao addition is really a good add!!🤣 Its definitely a comfort food spot and would visit again!!😇💯
Stand-alone, air conditioned store dedicated to mala xiang guo. They have hugeee fridges with a large variety of ingredients and meat neatly packed in balls! I especially love that they have youtiao here.
My partner and I ordered quite a large bowl of food with 2 noodles and 2 drinks, and the total bill was $29. Kinda expensive.
Ordered 小中辣 - not spicy enough, no numbness and the food turned out too salty. Still yummy, but would like more heat. Perhaps would try a notch spicier next!
