Ordered their chicken rossa penne and red pesto rigatoni, not forgetting their truffle fries of course!!!

📍: PS. Cafe
🍰: Double Chocolate Blackout Cake

The first time I heard of this cake from @pscafe was sometime last year? It somehow reminded me of Hard Rock Cafe’s Mud Pie, in terms of how big & decadent the dessert is! It’s an actual tower of two layers of chocolate cake, that could be 2 slices on its own, and it’s topped with creamy & rich dark chocolate ganache.

I really enjoyed this cake & found myself being unable to put my fork down, despite how incredibly stuffed I was just enjoying this! Personally found the cake and ganache not too sweet, but the chocolate sauce pooled around it was pretty overwhelming! The cake itself was already super rich & the sauce made the dish cloying after a couple of bites. The vanilla ice cream was a big help in mellowing out the rich cocoa flavours though.

I’d say, this is a must try for all chocolate lovers, but be warned that this cake is a meal of its own!

(🚨This was taken before P2HA!🚨)

Hands down, my favourite chocolate cake ever. I cannot decide which is better - the rich chocolate cake smothered in dark chocolate ganache, the delightful pool of warm chocolate sauce it is sitting in, or the creamy vanilla bean ice cream that is the perfect accompaniment to a warm slice of cake. The price is steep at $16, but this moist, decadent cake is worth every cent.

PS Cafe is always so generous with their portioning! They gave so much fries (which ended up having to dabao cause even 2 persons couldn't finish them all) and the burger is good too. However try not to get it well done like me cause the beef patty ended up being so tough that I had a hard time chewing it 😂 Would say it's a refreshing concept to have spinach in the burger (something I wouldn't imagine having). What a BUNderful burger and their food never disappoint! P/S the place is very IG worthy like those cafes at JB so it's a good chance to go there now since we can't travel sobs.

If I'm paying $16++ for fries then it better be a plate of piping, hot fries man...

Chicken Rosa Penne ($27++) was tasty - 8/10
Chicken Parmigiano ($29++) was nothing to shout about, gets very jelak towards the end - 6/10

Go get yourself better food elsewhere at a better price point 😬

Ahh so disappointing... this could have been much better, had it been served warm. You can see that the part of the ice cream on the cake wasn't even melting. The cake itself wasn't sweet, the sweetness comes from the super sweet toffee sauce. The combi of the vanilla ice cream, sticky date cake and toffee sauce was not bad, the components balanced each other out. Cake could have been more moist tho. Might try this again, and hopefully it'll be warm this time bc warm cake/sauce contrasting with the cold ice cream would taste so much more satisfying.
