“Count the memories, not the calories.” Yep, ending the Sunday with good food definitely takes away a little bit of the Monday blues that is about to come. Might be too herby for some but it was perfect for me. The fennel was extremely aromatic, crust was crisp at the edges, and you can’t go wrong with Kurobuta pork sausage meat and roasted peppers. Happy Monday everyone, 1 day down, 4 to go!

My favourite fries.

In my opinion, my favourite fries are @pscafe’s truffle shoestring fries ($8 for half, $15 for whole). For $15, one can get a whole mountain of golden crisp shoestring fries capped with a generous amount of parmesan shavings. The whole portion was good enough for 3-4 people. Warning: they’re dangerously addictive.

Pleasantly surprised with the pizzas af PS.Cafe!

Don’t get me wrong, PS.Cafe churns out good food at its various aesthetically pleasing locations but I didn’t expect its pizzas to be matching in quality with those Italian pizzerias!

I had the PS.Bolognese which had a combination of minced beef and pork over a tomato base and littered with basil leaves. The dough was crafted using Caputo “OO” flour and hand stretched to order. It’s baked at 315°C leaving a thin, crisp and charred crust. The resulting dish was so good that a friend and I finished the 8 slices in less than 5 minutes. It goes great with the house crispy chili oil that gives the pizza a fiery kick!

Unapologetically buttery thin-crusted pecan pie loaded with toasty aromatic pecans embedded in the rich, gooey, fudgy chocolatey filling. The dense combination of the gooey interior of pecan pie really complements the crispiness of the top layer.

Each bite is unassumingly delish with a robust, nutty crunch and a sticky brownie like filling that isn’t cloyingly sweet.

Though chocolate and pecans are an irresistible combination, I prefer my pecan pie the more traditional way- more of the spiced flavor with the use of cinnamon, brown sugar and molasses in the filling infused with rum/bourbon/whiskey.

Another thing to add, this ps cafe (Martin road) outlet offers a selection of ice cream unlike the other outlets. Got the pistachio, which was a fab combination which up the nuttiness by another notch!

This portion was so generous, it's good to share amongst 3 -alongside our Bianca Fungi pizza (so good!!!!! Recommends!!!). The shrimps are well sauteed though it was spicier than I expected of a Aglio Olio? The "hebi" taste is definitely strong.

Of course, the truffle shoestring fries is a must

(~$25 each, shared with 3)

This slice of Chocolate Banana Cheesecake combines my 3 favourite flavours in a totally non sinful way. Both light and delightful, especially when paired with the golden chamomile tea. The setting feels v Audrey Hepburn kinda classy. This is a good finish to the meal and a good catch up with friends. PS. Hope to be back for the key lime pie, which I heard is the best!
