Appetising fusion vegetarian food with affordable lunch sets and great coffee (don’t miss this!), but parking is an issue as the restaurant lies on one of the busier Bukit Bintang main road

Set (RM15) comes with Cool White/black miao (+RM1), very filling since I ordered spring onion egg roll as well. Quite a unique combo.

Base is RM7, with cheese add-on +RM2. Reminds me of Taiwan and it's tasted good especially with cheese.

I am a fan of this humble cafe. It used to situate at Ampang, which was a bit too far for my liking. But my last (and first) visit was satisfying, after having their signature sandwich and French toast.
As soon as I heard of their relocation to the city centre, I was thrilled and hurriedly visited Purple Miao.
Here in Purple Miao, they specialise in producing sandwiches with their homemade fillings. You don't find common sandwiches like ham & cheese or tuna sandwiches in their menu, which is frankly quite boring to me already. Instead, you get pumpkin or sweet potato fillings which are the much healthier choice.
I had their sweet potato sandwich (RM9), which was definitely worth the money. Sweet potato and egg mayo filled to the brim, entrapped within hainanese bread, an escape from uninspiring sandwiches that use Gardenia bread. You can also opt for sourdough bread, which I heard was made entirely vegan, for an additional cost of RM6.
If you aren't a sandwich lover, they also have rice bowls sets (RM18), although it is on the higher end of the price range as I feel that the rice bowl was not enough to fill me up.
Notice that there were no meat involved. I speculate that the owner is vegetarian as there were no meat products anywhere on the menu. Meat lovers may need to think twice before entering Purple Miao! ;)
They serve breakfast and lunch. More options were available for breakfast, including Taiwanese style egg rolls. It is also advisable to check out their Facebook or Instagram page before visiting as there are often some off the menu, seasonal options when they get their hands on fresh ingredients.
Overall, Purple Miao remains as one of my favourite spot to have a meal. The staffs were welcoming and the food was great. No guilt after polishing my plate! Recommendable!

Purple sweet potato, egg mayo sandwich. Make it a set with drink of your choice for rm16
